Personally I like the new venerable dread kit, all the options and the details are too awesome.

This is based on looks, rules, paintability and anything else...

Favourite single model is probably the DkoK Colonel... or perhaps the Khorne Daemon Prince thingy... (FW one) FW models will be superior looking imho

I have always loved the FW Vulture. It's the 40k version of the Apache. And is therefore awesome.

I love the metal Imperial Guard Colonel. A perfect officer-looking guy. Unless you're a deathworlder.

I think I have to agree. When I saw him get inducted into the Citadel Hall of Fame, I was pretty excited. Now if I could only go to HQ and see him...

The new Archon is pretty great imo, just with a bunch of wych and warrior spares you can make loads of them all unique! Chaos lord comes close too.

So many to choose from, I honestly think it could be the Hellion kit however, its not a single model, but what you can make out of it is awesome.

I would have to say this model is my favourite.

For a single GW model, I'd say either the Emperors Champion (fist clenched), Vindicare Assassin (shooting pose), or the running termi-Calgar, for sheer epic-ness.

For single miniatures: Gideon Lorr (because he's so Solomon Kane and his plasma pistol is really stylish), the original Marneus Calgar on chair (because it's funny and kinda cool at the same time) and the 2nd edition Noise Marines (really detailed and metal \m/).
For a model: Exorcist. It's an organ that shoot missiles. And so detailed too.

Vindicare Assassin (both poses) and almost all of the commisar models comes to mind but I really like the Chapter Master Seth model.

FW Vulture.

Vindicare Assassin and almost all of the commisar models

the Emperors Champion (fist clenched), Vindicare Assassin (shooting pose),

The current emperors champion.

All my picks are taken! The whole Kasrkin line make me think of Jin-Roh

The FW Death Corp officers are beautiful too.

The whole new wave of Dark Eldar are amazing.

But my all time fav has to be the new Stormraven. It looks sooo cool.
 As if...what a POS. In a world with Vultures and Vendettas you're gonna have to do better than that, GW

All great picks; I bought and painted Huron Blackheart and I fell in love with the model; for that matter, the Forge World version of Huron is awesome as well; but of the two, I actually like the GW one best; it was just a blast to paint and it went together fairly easily.

Ah... it's so hard to pick just one!

The best I can do is narrow it down to two models, Typhus and the Space Marine Chaplain in terminator armour.

For a unit I got to say I like the new Grey Knight marine kit. I could make such dynamic looking units that I feel in love with putting them together. A little bit of green stuff went a long way when trying to make each model distinct. Keep in mind I assembling models!

Wraithlord. Or a regular Dreadnought. Or maybe an Archon. Can't decide :(.

Maugan Ra.
Jain Zar. (It was mid-90īs and big hairs were still kind of cool!)
Kharn. (Basically because the backgound is hilarious yet brutal, and the model echoes this.)

I can just narrow my pick to Eversor assassin ( the one with a trophy), Vindicare assassin (shooting stance), Fabious Bile and Inquisitor Gideon Lorr.

The Green Knight still gets me excited, nearly 15 years on.

One day I'm going to own two; one painted up right for the character, the other painted up using my family heraldry (incorporating black and white feathers instead of ivy).

Agreeing with Huron. He's covered with so many lovely details and it really conveys his damaged visage, he looks like a terminal cancer patient going on a killing spree.

The new Talos literally made my jaw drop. Much of the new DE range is right up there with it.

Kaptin Badrukk... such piratey goodness.

The FW Death Guard... exactly what Plague Marines should look like. Pay attention, GW, when the time comes for a plastic Plague Marine kit.

The current Dark Eldar range.. I know that's cheating, but I can't single one model out. Especially when they can be mixed together so easily.

I guess if I had to choose one, it'd be an Archon. He looks so badass without even trying.

Jes Goodwin's original aspect warriors. Individually, they're great miniatures, but when seen as a squad, with the flow of movement from one individual to the next... sublime.

Honourable mentions: wyches (and most Dark Eldar, really), ork warbikers, jumppack chaplain.

The Landraider with Lascannons, even better with the Forgeworld Upgrades I gave it.

I can't really narrow it down to my favourite of all time, as there are a lot of them around, but these are some of my favourites:
Chaplain with jump pack
Chaplain in Terminator armour (the newer version)
Vindicare assassin (the ADS version)
SM Captain

My favourite units are a bit easier to decide upon, although there are a few:
GK Terminators ('cos they're cool)
SM Tactical squad (it's old, but still one of my favourite PA model kits)
Any Rhino chassis kit (once you've built one, you've built them all)

Favorite single 40K model...?

Hmm. *scratches head*

I really like the metal Grey Knight Justicar carrying a broadsword.
I'm also very fond of the SOB Exorcist organ-player.
But I'm going to go with the Mordian Iron Guard Sergeant with chainsword... the rigid military posture, the stern expression... it's just classic.

Yeah, I'm old school.

My first issue of White Dwarf was 127, where they printed the first Eldar army list. I remember there was only one model for each Aspect, but I fell in love with 40k that day, I think.

And only now realised this was a 40k thread, apologies for the above post...

The Space Marine Master of the Fleet with the hammer slung over his shoulder and holding his cape. It's quite a subtle and, dare I say it, delicate pose but you just know he'd wrap that Thunder Hammer round your head as soon as look at you.

the esher juve with stubgun n pick

and the ratskin with a dubble barrel shotgun n knife crouching (again pm me)both great minis - necromunda seems to lend itself well to great individual models. There's a model I use as an Escher leader which I think is actually called 'Female Bounty Hunter' which is very cool

I'd also vote for Captain Chenkov and the Valhallan with a respirator (looks like a picture in the 2nd Ed codex that I always loved)

The little jawa that carries Azreal's helmet

Space Wolves were my first GW army (and still my largest and favourite). If I had to pick a favourite, I'd go for my old style Termy sgt with the wolf cloak who I've given a Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield - but the new range of plastics is a fantastic and versatile set that can be combined beautifully with most Space Marine kits (like my Skyclaw and Swiftclaws packs that net-listers love to hate)

i would say the Eldar metal Assassin model that you got with the old Eldar Dreadnaught which was retired about 15 years ago the rules where great .

Gotta be the old Emperors Champion, when I was 9 years old he was the archetypical space marine for me, and this still affects how I see marines today, preparing to smite the enemies of the emperor!

I'm a fan of the new emperor's champion. Nice, simple, but an expression of strength. Crusader helm with laurels, tabard, one arm in a fist, the other with the sword. It just oozes presence, but retains simplicity. No ton of bling, no superdynamics, but just a clean awesome model.

i love all the latest Eldar exarch models, in particular the Fire Dragon exarch.

I also love the new Eldar stuff the FW have come up with. The Scorpion Tank is just so sexy. Hornets are cool, and the titans, both Phantom and Revenant.
