I've came up with a quick design for my motorcycle helmet encorperating a 40k veteran helmet design.

Just want to know what you guys think.

I've included the original helmet that the design will be painted over for reference. ;)

QFT. That is one of the most awesome things I've seen, although I'd be careful not to do anything to the structure of your helmet, although I think a bit of paint should be ok.

Safety first and all that.

You could paint the top and bottom of the visor as well. I usually tape about an inch from the top of the visor on my helmets, anyway. I have a second cheap helmet that I'm thinking about painting, ATM it is in black and that's not good for visibility.

then make a space marine biker suit. although maybe leave it at a scout. still awesome though.

No structual change, just overlay. the paint will form the definition and make it look 3D from certain angles.

Cool, but:
- you'll need to design the painted graphics very carefully to maintain the 3D illusion - making it look correct from the front would probably be best, and still look ok from the sides
- be careful re what paint is used - some helmet plastic can be weakened by some paint solvents

found some of these (http://www.santiagochopper.com/shop/details.html?id=637) wandering netspace. I was actually looking for the biker helmets from Babylon AD, but the consensus seems to be that they were sculpted for the movie and are not in commercial production. :(
