Awww shiyat, hide the women and children, the Emperor's own TK'ing bastards are here!

After beginning a story based upon them, I decided to start a Marines Malevolent force to contrast my Word Bearers. What better way to start with a kill team? Combat patrol is the eventual goal here, and this might go slow, I'm sure you've all seen the P/T forums flooded with my completed projects ;)

Well, it will be Cityfight themed. Here's where I left off on my yellow paint test miniature:

And here's the flamer. Flamer is a cut down Cadian pattern with a modified end so it fit on the marine's hand, and I tweaked the backpack around to show what I feel to be a more respectable flamer fuel tank. I used a backpack with three vents on it to cover the loss of the bottom vanes.

The pilot light is the bottom of a CSM chainsword.

I'm off for work now, hope to get the Sargeant done tonight when I get home.

Very, very shiny.

I was afraid when you declared the project he might look a bit duff, but I was very wrong. Only thing I'd do is lop off the pilot light, I've never seen flames done that way look right.

That flamer dude looks awesome man. I especially like the plastic tube from the gun to the tank. How did you managed that?

nice conversions.
keep 'em coming!

that's one hell of a pilot light. It's practically a flamethrower unto itself. Seriously. If you want a pilot light, take the normal flamer end, drill a .020" hole in it, and cut the tip off a pin. Put it in pointy side out, and paint it bright blue.

NCK: Styrene rod bent to shape. .045" diameter.

Kotobuki: I'll give that a whirl. I guess every 'movie' flamer I've ever seen had a nice fat flame at the end of it :p

Also forgot the regulator was off of the Sentinel flamer fuel tank, although any sort of little widgit will do there.

Very nice indeed!

As I mentioned before love the painting but I think you need to consider replacing the sgts head with something a little more 'menacing'...

Love the flamer conversion!

The test model isn't a Sargent, merely equipped with a BP/CCW. I'm hoping to run 4 bolters, 4 bp/ccw in the initial kill team. Not counting flamer and missile launcher, for a full squad.

Very nice :D Subtle, but very effective. I think a beakie helm would look great done in that yellow.

The yellow looks good, though maybe a little too yellow, if you know what I mean - it's a bit too colourful for my likes, especially against the black. A more suble yellow (with some white or bleached bone mixed in) might be better.

The flamer conversioon is excellent though. :)

Take pride in your colors, McMullet, only a Heretic wants to hide from the Emperor's Justice ;)

Not so flashy, but even a humble bolter deserves attention. The Emperor didn't get where he is today without covering fire....

This veteran has a bionic arm (show only, not wargear), a purity seal on the bolter, a Havok head because it looked dead 'ard.....and a drilled barrel.

Next guy, quite converted. Still some gap filling and such to go.

Head: shaved up spiked head from Fantasy chaos warriors. He had a giant chin guard that I didn't like, so I spent about 40 minutes shaving it away and giving him a jawline and still leaving him with some sort of neck covering, also removed the horns.

Left arm: Chaos chainsword with removed pommel sash, attached to a loyalist arm. I liked the full-round blade design.

Right arm: Ork head. Back neck area is GSed to look all ragged. What color is ork blood? Hand is from a right handed chainsword so that there arent any pesky trigger fingers.

Chest: Eagle torso with a boltgun on a carry strap. Will be used as a bolter marine.

Base: Ammo can off of the IG tank accessory mk2 sprue. Its cityfight, I figure all sorts of doodads are floating around.

Same colour as your text, Nid. It's Fantasy Orcs who've got the green.

All good bar the bionic arm, which isn't 'chunky' enough at all.

SPLATTER EFFECTS FOR THE SPLATTER EFFECTS GOD!

I don't know what else to do about that bionic. Or about that mini in general. He's rather plain.

See if you can scrounge an Iron Hands bionic arm, though they're rare these days. Never put the IH arms in pairs, though.
