(Beastmen) On the spanish book it states that "a single unit of Centigors can include Ghorros INSTEAD of a champion". It's neither "a single unit of Centigors can upgrade the Champion to Ghorros", nor "a single unit of Centigors can UPGRADE a Centigor to Ghorros instead of a champion".

Can anybody tell me the exact phrase on English?

My question is because of the cost. If Ghorros can be included in a unit INSTEAD of a champion by 155 points, its cost is 155. If Ghorros is an upgrade, its cost is 155+25 (just the same way a Champion is 155+14).

Which is the real cost for Ghorros on the English army book?

Thank you!!!

One Centigor unit in the army may include Ghorros Warhoof instead of a Gorehoof.....xxx points.

Ghorros costs X amount of points. So the cost of Ghorros is what you pay to play. Think of him as a super horny, juiced up Gorehoof on Speed...

By the wording on its own, he's 155. By the logic in GW's FAQs for identical wording on other similar special champions, he's 155+25 (see the daemon FAQ).

So you need to upgrade a centigor to a gorehoof to allow you to take ghorros instead?

That tends to be the consensus. Here's the FAQ's in question:

Q. What is the exact price to add the Changeling to a unit of Pink
Horrors – is his listed price the price to upgrade one model? Also
what is the minimum number of models in a unit of Pink Horrors
including the Changeling? (p88)
A. The Changeling replaces a Pink Horror and his cost is
added to that of the model he replaces. The minimum number
of models remains the same – 10.
Q. What is the exact price to add Karanak to a unit of Flesh
Hounds – is his listed price the price to upgrade one model? Also
what is the minimum number of models in a unit of Flesh Hounds
including Karanak? (p90)
A. Karanak replaces a Flesh Hound and his cost is added to
that of the model he replaces. The minimum number of models
remains the same – 5.

Those each had different wording, but one of them was identical to Ghorros' wording. I disagree with the FAQs on both language and balance, but that's the closest to evidence we have.

OK, thank you.

So final cost seems to be 180 following the same faqs on daemons. Hope they clarify this on the next goat faq...

That tends to be the consensus. Here's the FAQ's in question:

Doesn't the FAQ quote you provide indicate that you don't have to upgrade to a champion in order to take the Special Character? It seems to indicate, at least on the information provided here, that you pay the price for Ghorros and then remove a regular rank and file model and replace it with him. You then can't include a regular Champion in that unit.

You pay his points instead of paying the upgrade cost for a champion.
So, you have to buy the minimum number of models.
Then upgrade one to ghorros.

Despite the book not really saying that, the FAQ indicates that's what you do.

So Ghorros would therefore cost his standard cost + 1 normal model
Same as a unit champion(or musician/standard bearer) costs the 1 normal model + the upgrade cost.
