hey guys!

so, Iv'e been playing some small games (500-1000 point ish) with Empire, and I'd like to step it up. Problem is, I don't really know how. I'm planning on putting together a 2000 points TAC army, and the only thing set in stone is a Steam Tank. Any other advice/general guidance/unit composition would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and i got around 3000 points of Empire, so don't be shy. (:

Regards,

( P.S. Don't know if this is the right forum, or if it should be posted in general, or army lists)

A Halberdier Horde, 2 level 2 Mages and an Archlector are always good ideas, as are lots of cannons and mortars.

3x Cannon and 3x Mortar is always a good start. 50 Halberd units with a Warrior Priest is also a solid choice. Arch Lector on War Altar for general.

I recently did a basic list building video for my Youtube channel, using Empire as the example army. Hopefully you'll find some of it useful, here's the link to the video:

The War Altar isn't all that awesome any more. I wouldn't risk the neck of my LD granter on that thing.

get some more artillery and pick what state troop you like best and build from that is the first thing I'd suggest...

Be aware that a new book might come in a few month, and I wouldn't be suprised to see canon and/or mortar gor up in points or even go to rare, so limiting yourself to maybe 2 of each for now might make the inevitable army book changes less painfuls.
