Now, a Paragon gets a 5+ ward save, unless he already has a ward save, in which case he gets +1 to his ward save. Simple enough. But then, what if he has the mark of Tzeentch, which gives him a 6+ ward save... Unless he already has a ward save, in which case he gets +1 to his ward save. :wtf:

So does a Paragon of Tzeentch with no ward save giving items have a 5+ or 4+ ward save? Or no ward save at all because the universe implodes? :shifty:

He would get a 5+ as he already has a wardsave, still it makes a talismans of protection rather good ;)

warhammer forge chaos host leader, you choose a paragon to lead the army, when he dies it all falls apart basically

Hell, it makes a mundane shield amazing; less than ten points for a 4+ ward, even if it's a bit conditional….

that's why a talisman of protection is better :P

or even a talismen of preservation, as a talismen of protection only grants a 6+ ward

Preservation is wasted as being a paragon gives you +1 to your wardsave, with marl of Tzeentch you get +2, so for 15pts you get a 4+ wardsave, endurance is the most you need as the wardsave is capped at 3+
