View Full Version : Build me the smallest possible 1000/2000 pts army...

As the title says! I have the world's shortest patience, and really want to have fun while painting a few number of well converted and individual models instead of endless rank and file.

What would be the smallest army I could do at 1000 and 2000 pts levels that is:

- Not Ogres
- Not Dwarfs
- Not mainly cavalry

Any and all help is very much appreciated, along with additional ideas and suggestions on making a playable (note: doesn't have to be easy to win with) army that is fun and varying to paint!

Cheers,
BTB

Chaos and demons, lizard men without skinks. I played a 2000 pt tourney with chaos a while ago and I had like 13 models roughly. It was fun and amazingly only lost 2 games out of 6.

Yeah, I once built a list like that myself, also in 7th. Harder to do with caps on characters and minimum core though!

Yea I ran lord on dragon , sorcer on steed, exalted on chariot, knights, chariots for core, and a shaggoth. It did super well. The games I lost were to an Orc horde with giants and dark elves shooty and both were minor victories

Or you could cheat and play nurgle - with liberal use of expanding foam sealent or equiv. you could have your blocks of infantry... just that; as they have all merged and mutated so a block of "20" could only be like 1-5 actual models to paint :D (though you may need a wound counter :P)
