View Full Version : Warpath Forge Fathers

Just started a Forge Fathers army for warpath. Might also use them as marines for 40K. Waiting for my Fate of the Forgestar, so I can really get started. Sorry for camera phone pics.

Steel Warrior Test
Was a bit to light for my tastes, will add more shading.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have been doing some more work on these, so I will update with more pics later on. My Fate of the Forgestar came today, so I've got lots of building to do. I thought I was being really original with yellow Fathers, but it seems loads of people are going yellow :(

I like 'em. Your using a more "golden" yellow than most others I've seen, which are based on a primary yellow shade, perhaps muddied up a bit. Anyway I think yours are set apart from a lot of seen. Good job!

Thanks! I was going for a muddy, golden yellow. I wanted them to look like they have been in the wars. I got the idea from the Dwemer armour from morrowind. Sorry about the slow updates, but i'm still a new member and have to wait for clearance on posts.

Here is the Huscarl. I've added just a few more highlights here and there.

Here is a almost finished Steel Warrior.

And finally a Sgt conversion for my Steel Warriors.

Been a while I know :) Changed paint scheme to a lighter yellow, really wanted it to pop! This plog will be much more active, as well as and Eldar one I'm working on.

And to show I'm committed this time, some more pics. Which goggle style do you guys think is best?

What's the difference?

Loving the yellow armour. It'll really make them stand out on the tabletop without making them look like a bunch of sore thumbs. Great to see some Warpath going down.

The light makes it not quite as obvious as I would like :) Just one is painted as 1 lense the other as 2.

I like the yellow on these, well done.
Quick question, you say you might use these in 40k as marines, how is the scale, have you had them side by side with a marine mini?
This was something I pondered doing a while back but never came across any scale pics so didn't bother. Didn't want to get accused of the whole 'modelling to an advantage' if they were a lot smaller for cover saves, Los etc.
