View Full Version : looking for terrain manufacturer

Hello all,

Its been a while since I have played 40k and I am looking to buy some terrain now that I have a job :D

The piece I am looking for is an urban modular river that had just a clear piece of plastic on top for the water. This allowed a printed sheet of paper to be slid under the clear plastic to give the water whatever texture you desired.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I cannot remember for the life of me and my google fu has failed.

Sounds easy enough to make,if you can't find it...

It probably wouldn't be too difficult but I remember it looking rather nice. Also my free time is dwindling, hence buying terrain that requires as little extra work as possible.:)

I'd check into gale-force 9s terrain. They have a river section. I made my own but theirs was nice.

Just found it. It was from a company called s6engineering which unfortunately shut down several months back :( :cries:

Any good alternatives for a "grimy" modular river?

They come prepainted. But you can "grime them up" if you need.

We use this stuff at the local store I play at. It's great.

Thanks for the help guys! I am going to get some of the battlefield in a box pieces as they look quite nice (and prepainted)!

Dont know how I feel about their water effects though. They dont quite have the feel I am looking for and they still seem a bit skinny even if I did grimdarkaify them.

I guess I will wait until somebody releases something more in line with what I was hoping to get. Although if anyone did manage to buy some of the s6engineering stuff and doesn't want it anymore. Maybe we could work something out :D

Armourcast has some more urban/tech rivers:

not pre painted, but more urban than the other examples.

Hi, I don't have such a thing yet, but I would be very happy to recieve your visit at my web. ;) Maybe there is something of your interest there:
It's still WIP, but we're working hard on it, very hard...
Meanwhile, you can also have your say and a look at the first prototypes in facebook.
