I've been searching the internet and haven't found anything I like. So, what are some good two tone color schemes for space marines? Not just the ones split down the middle, but ones that have two main colors. Anyone have any good suggestions? Oh, the only color I don't wanna paint is white, so please no white. Other than that any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Green/red in a checkerboard pattern - pull it off on a whole army, and you'll be regarded as a master of paint :)

I think I might go with I think the chaos marines were called " the pyre". From chaos 3.5 I think. It's Orange and black.

master, yes. If you do a tartan, you'll be hailed as a god. ;)

Brazen Claws are an eye-catching quartered blue and red.
Personally, I've come up with a custom chapter with a green and blue paint scheme.

Also ran into this a while ago, had to find it again:

That should help with inspiration.

Do Dazzle camoflage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzle_camouflage) properly, and you'll top that.

I got three Marines into a Tactical squad in the original Tiger Claws colours* before I came to my senses, once.

Not marines "as such", but I always loved how white/red halved greyknights looked.

Ive written something general about colorschemes here (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5949226&postcount=18), which might be helpful. If you do a Codex chapter, remember that you will also have the rims of the shoulder pad to consider and generally eye color might add another one as well, leading to a 4 color scheme in total.
Id generally go with "knightly" colors on marines, the traditional heraldric ones are blue, red, black, yellow and white, but for marines you can add green and grey to this. Orange and Purple dont seem that Marine-like to me.
A combination I quite like is a turquise blue quartered with Yellow, with a reddish magenta for details. Either 2nd or 3rd company (so, either the Yellow on the rims, or the magenta). Eagle left in neutral bone. Ive used the BnC SM painter for this scheme and attached the jpg.

Nah, I agree with the commissar on the tartan.

Dazzle, although cool, lacks the precision brush work :)

I'd call them something like The Highlanders, build them on the BA 'dex, and give them the creed "There can be only one.. Emperor" :D

I agree Howling Griffions are a very appealing chapter. The Red and yellow contrast nicely, but alo they dont seem like two totally difernt colours

Some other official non white two color Space Marine chapters include

Crimson Guard - Halved Red/Gold.
Iron Lords - Black with Red Greaves and Thigh plates
Scythes of the Emperor - Yellow Body & Backpack the rest in Black
Marines Exemplar - Black with Red Arms
Raptors (old colours scheme) - Blue with yellow shoulders, fists and Knees/Greaves/Boots
Firelords - Red with Yellow Helms, Forearms, Greaves and Boots and Black fists
Mortifactors - Bone with Black Shoulders, Helms (bar face plate), Thighs, Fists and Boots
Taurans - Bone with Black Helms, Backpacks and Knees/Greaves/Boots

I quite like the previously mentioned Brazen Claws colours though not sure whats going on with them fluff wise from mentions in recent codices seems to suggest they've gone renegade.

Novamarines blue and bone quartered. Thats what I've done but doesn't stand out as well as the howling griffons.

The flesh tearers are dark red and black - Legs red, Torsos black (not sure about arms). Plus, you get to use BA dex and Gabriel Seth (one of the coolest SM charactern Minis).

I've decided to make my own chapter. Main colors are gonna be yellow and black. They will be the yellow jackets I guess haha. Thanks for all the suggestions.

The big problem with quartered marine colour schemes is the vehicles, I could never get them to look right.

Yellow Jackets are already a Chapter... and a pretty darn good-looking one too methinks.

http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Yellow_Jackets

They were the winner of an Golden Demon chapter creation competition in second edition, so their fluff is that rare mix of being both fan-produced and incorporated (maybe arguably at this point) into canon.

As a second founding chapter, you've got alot of history to maneuver around in.

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.
