now i know ive used night goblins as the horde, but im planning on having webs as my netters, not sure on fanatic, thinking an angry spider with a goblin trying to hold on. the bsb goes in the bowmen, probably the shammy too. the spider riders are for diversion, warmachine hunting and last ditch attempts to save my goblin horde by rear charging a unit thats attacking the horde.

so what you think? the other option had 2 manglers and more goblin units instead of the arachnarok. but i like the idea at 1200 of scaring people off with it

From the get go I see a few problems, namely 5 forest goblins. They are free victory points. Beef them up or get used to losing them.
Also, why bother with the skulker? always strike first and killing blow is nice, but they are ws2. If anyone wants to break that archer unit, they are going to be able to with or without him there. Invest or get killed. The shaman is nice, but is going to get roflpwned very quickly. In keep with the theme, I would suggest putting him on a spider and placing him in a reasonable unit of 10 spider riders. The last thing you want to do is leave him on foot an vulnerable to dwellers. The added mobility also means he'll get into position more easily. Also, an arachnarok is scary in 1200 pts, but will get shot first by every army sensible enough to have brought a war machine or magic. I would go for the manglers because they have more targets to shoot at. Also a general rule for characters- never buy equipment that is more expensive then they are. That goblin boss is a prime example- there's a good chance that the armour he is wearing won't earn it's points back. Downgrade to tricksters helm or glittering scales. Anyway, thats my two cents.

I would either drop the single fanatic or add at least one more. If u drop him that's 25 free points and u could even drop the level 4 on Mage and add a whole other level 1 Mage instead

id thought about droping the big boss for a lvl 2 mage, but at 1200 pts im already likely to dominate magic. and i only chose 1 fanatic as they can be a massive points sink, if i take 2, then why not take the 3rd, and then ive spent another 50pts

Because its not worth taking one. I would just drop him and add something else

fanatics are some of the most cost effective killing machines in the army. Want to deny a charge? Send out three of the guys! The ensuing smash should destroy at least 25% of a 20 man unit of pretty much anything. Granted the following turn they might not do anything, but for that one turn they are your game deciders.

im not saying that they are bad, im saying that if you are going to run one, then the 25 points can be used elsewhere...

im dropping the bigboss for a lvl 2 mage with dispell scroll, and taking the helm of command on the lvl4. i know its only ld7, but better stubborn at 7 then not at all, its a 50% chance to pass no matter how badly my gobs get kicked in. also dropped the spiders for another unit of bowmen and another fanatic on the spearmen.

are the two man blocks of gobos using bows or spears or what? if they are using bows, then i would drop the banners....that saves u an extra 20 points...

yeh its bows. i could drop them thinking about it. should i combine the units so i have 40 poisoned bowmen? chuck on the poison spell and ive got me some 40 bowmen auto wounding on 5's.

U could do that. Either way drop banners. It will be easy points for your opponent if he kills them
