I am going to paint my sisters in the colours of the order of my martyred lady although i think the armour will be black as apposed to the bluey tint the GW shceme has.I have bought 7 sisters today and have nearly assembled them -pics tommorow. But until then a pic of my priest who will accompany them in some battles(just not the GT cos i think hes pretty rubbish)

Very nice for a stand and shoot army, but since its a GT, aren't you worried about the lack of mobility?

Personally, I'd consider reducing the size of at least one of the larger squads to get a couple of Rhinos/Repressors (and possibly an Exorcist for some ranged AT).

Heh heh heh. Mobility at the UKGT. Thats a good one. ;)

But it's lookin good. One of my mates took a similar army last year and did well with it. The priest is lookin pretty funky. If the rest of your army looks this good then it'll be ace.

I like to keep an eye on the GT armies so you can expect me to drop in from time to time to see how your doin. I am slightly worried that there's a fair number of people who have started their armies already when i haven't even decided what i'm takin yet. Its almost as if you dont want to be painting at 3 am in your hotel like i will be...

Heh heh heh. Mobility at the UKGT. Thats a good one.

The closest that I've been was Canadian Conflicts. They had a fair range of armies (given the lack of terrain:( it was a good thing) and no one style dominated. If mobility was scarce wouldn't a mobile army have an advantage? Does the terrain meet the 25% guide? I know at our Conflicts it was usually about a half dozen pieces.:(

Oh, one day I'll want to go to a GT.........:)

Nah, I'd rather go to Carnage.:D

I dont care whoy you are you WILL have trouble chewing through 92 power armoured models! Looks good but you will be introuble if a dread wades into a squad of 20.

Yeh hopefully the meltas will deal with that-i might look at putting melta bombs on the VSS.

Anyway-heres the models filed and glued-i haven't put their backpacks on yet to allow me to paint their shoulder details easier.

Wow thats alot of little ladies in tight armour....... ahem lol
I agree, I would have at least one vehicle, even if its to draw some firepower away from the little ladies in tight armour, so don't go OTT on the vehicle, up to you though, I'm not the best gamer but I try!

Okay ,i have been going through loads of trial schemes trying to find one and i'm still going( i keep stripping the models i don' like)So any ideas are very welcom.I have however produced this variant of our martyed lady scheme although i fond it a bit boring(the pic is poor the one from behind is accurate colours)and theres another i was working on earlier today.....C and c please:p

that gold is pretty cool, would look good with some stark contrast, like a regal green or red, and white.

I think i'm going to stick with the martyed lady scheme now.(although i'm thinking about doing vostroyans instead, cos the inability to paint the sisters how i want them really annoys me)Anyway i am continuing to paint the rest of the sisters and i will post some pics soon.

@Siromcyre- i've not finished it yet but i'm doing it with red because i agree with you about the contrast

The sister's looking good, particularly the metallics on the shoulder pads. Can you give me a quick run-down of the steps you used on the skin of the priest, it looks great :).

Keep going fella looking good so far, You know if you buy the vostroyans you'll only be annoyed at not getting the scheme right.

Plus the sisters have been around a little bit longer :) and look a hell of a lot better!

@tzeentch giant-its a basecoat of vermin brown then subsequent highlights of bleached bone-

Vermin/bleached bone
6 parts to 4
5 parts to 5
4 parts to 6
3 parts to 7
2 parts to 8
1 part to 9
pure bleached bone

Thats pretty much it,vermin brown with lots of highlights of bleached bone mixed in,they are watered down slightly more than usual.Hope it helps

@mortus-lol true but i'm not sure-i will paint all of the sisters and see if i like them. Its just something about them -i don't know what.......
