Looks decent, but I would maybe drop one of the shades units and boost the other to like 7 or so, unless you are going for some type of theme. Maybe get some dark riders in there? Or perhaps get a unit of RXBs?

But I could see this giving some armies fits, mostly because of the annoying shades haha.

The shades are nasty. But I think you might need to work in something that's mobile and has some speed. Like consider a peg for hero to give you some range.

the hero goes with the corsairs
@Arnond yeah they r going to have fits and the 2 shade units are just to be evil

Mage with ToF is also a thought instead of the master.

i would take a mage but i rely on magic too much

In a game this small, magic cold be huge.

the whole point of this list is for me to learn to win without magic

okay then i would go master on peg and kit him...gives you mobility and a punch for a small game

Actually I would keep this list pretty much as it is, Unless you are playing on a modified board, he wont have an answer to your shades. the the only thing I would consider changing is the SSS banner, It's all about how you use the units. obviously you cant shoot into combat, and if your corsairs fail their frenzy attack you might get in to combat earlier than anticipated. leaving you not much to shoot at with your shades. just a thought.

keep the shades. your opponent wont be able to deal with them. deploy them in the flanks of the enemy, and they cant charge you first turn. out of front arc, when they turn to face you march out of arc and shoot, keep this up all game. keeping the SSS banner on corsairs is your choice. as long as you can keep viable targets for your shades.

I'd drop the light armor on the shades and add in a few more corsairs to beef up the unit. Even if they aren't attackers they will give you some staying power against larger units.
