As we dont know how big the night and doom scythes are, what would people suggest would be a good stand in for the Doom scythe and the night scythe? I dont want to waste a lot of money if the models are coming out in a month or 2 but i want something that i can field on the day.

any suggestions?

I'm in the process of building one from scratch, and from the size of the pilot (who looks to be a base warrior, like the Tomb Blades), I'm basing the size at between 6" and 7" for the outer ring, and about a 3.5" to 4" inner circle offset by about an inch or so.

For what you're looking for, you could just use a compass and trace the two circles on cardboard, trim it out, and stick it on a flyer base. Oh, and don't forget to splash on 3 colors to make it tourny-legal...

thinking of mixing a barge and a fire prisim, open cockpit with warrior instead of eldar scum,th body is more or less the same shape, the crystal can be the death ray, barge comes with TL tesla cannon and some necron-y parts to make it less eldar. then putting it on a fly base. should work :)

I built one for a friend using my Mendel 3D printer, using the weapons of the Annihilation Barge
(missing in the picture). It fits for the pilot but could be a little bit bigger IMO.

That is superb work, sir. How much did your printer cost?

Thx, but I am far away from being a good designer ;)

I bought a set from this shop (http://www.mendel-parts.com/index.php/) one year ago for 700 ,
but its possible to get cheaper or better sets now, depending on the shop. Of course a 3D printer
is nothing for someone who wants to print just 2 or 3 things, but if you are in a club or have other
applications (I use it to design different stuff for work), its really a nice thing to have.

And for ~25 per kilogram plastic you can print everything cheaper than every GW product, but it
should be at least walker size. For example, the material price for the flyer would be around 3-5 ,
but needs ~12 hours to print.

There so should have been three guys piloting that, two in front and one higher up behind them.

But otherwise QUALITY stuff.

Honestly, there shouldn't be a pilot at all... on any of their vehicles... but, oh well.

Occasionally models for Goa'uld Death Gliders pop up on eBay - they would probably be an appropriate size, though might be a bit larger than required.

I'm probably going to chop a Wave Serpent (or any AV12 eldar vehicle) body in half, and make it.. more.. crescent shaped than C shaped.
