I'm going to build a Space Marine army completely with Legion of the Damned models.
It'll take alot of conversion work on Dreads and tanks, but I don't mind.
Thing is, I think Chaplains look pretty Damned with their skulls and stuff.
But wich Chaplain is the ÜBER coolest, or has been.

Any chaplain model from the very first one (wasn't around back then :D) may be chosen.

Just so I can look wich ones are cool.

Chaplain Cassius has a cool scarred face if you want a harsh looking chaplain.

The Terminator chaplain is also quite nice.

But this is my all-time favourite. Love his pose. It's just so dramatic and intimidating.

Cassius is a no-go, as he doesn't have a skull-helmet (and I'm not a fan of helmet-less marines anyway).
Terminator armour looks AWESOME, but as there aren't any LoD Terminator Models, I'm afraid him neither.
The latter one was the first that catched my eye too, especially with the skeleton frame on the torso!!

The current Chaplain's predecessors were so much nicer IMO. Try to track down the one on the far right- http://www.solegends.com/citcat1998/1998P333-01.htm :)

I of course like my own best:

But if you cant find him on ebay this one is the one I want for myself... (The croizus is a four bladed mace)

I think the Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai has the best chaplain model but I don't know whether you think he would fit into your legion of the damned with his robe. I think it's do-able if you think you can free hand some sweet skulls and/or fire on the robe.

My favorite chaplain has always been the original Death Company Chaplain.

The coolest chaplain I've seen (it's a conversion) I did something like this after being inspired by it...

Chaplain in terminator armor as shown above and again.

Chaplain Dreadnought already exists. No conversions technically necessary.

second on the jump pack, followed by the terminator chaplain. I do however, like all of them!

I did a LOTD squad a long time ago, and used the head of chaplain 1 5 times... it's more like a skull mask, than helmet. I'm not a fan of the fire on the armour, and thought that this idea looks better, and is incredibly easy to pull off with green stuff

Khorne Berzerkers provide skull hellmets (removal of the 'horns' is required though). Other bits may also be usable.

hmmm, so many cool choices!!! :D
Thanks guys!!

It's either going to be the OOP one (chaplain no. 4), or the jump pack one.

I've got an old WD lying here with a LoD battle report, and they use Chaplain no. 4 there (albeit a converted one, they removed the crozius for a power sword).

For me it's between this guy (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440191a&prodId=prod1050247) and LEMARTES! (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440193a&prodId=prod680005a)

The second one may be a bit too BA specific though.

Damn, Lemartes looks ALMOST perfect. Too bad he's got the Blood teardrop and chalice on his armour...
The first one does look awesome too!!

The correct answer.

This guy's pose just says two words ...."Bring" and "it".

I have to say I quite like the Lemartes (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod680005a) model though.

OOP4 or current Termi Chappy, he's one of my fav overall minis.

For the cool over the top factor love the chaplain on the bike. Should really paint mine up.

The BT Termie with TH/SS was amazing! Really cool.

I don't like Chaplain Huggable, he looks too much like some comic book character showing off his muscles. The OOP models are pretty good, and everyone loves nostalgia. I do like the mace-style crozious, he looks suitably medieval knight-like. However, my next chaplain will be the current terminator guy - the idea of him, 5 TLLC termies and a sanguinary priest charging out of a crusader is just too horrible to resist (say hello to 28 St5, I5 power weapon attacks, rerolling hits and with 20 rerolls to wound, backed up by FNP and a 2+ save...)

Wow, i have to say that the Chaplain range is amazing. Lots of lovely minis in there. I also really like Asmodai, his helmet looks amazing IMO. But there are like 10 others who I also really dig. If I played Loyalists, I'd probably own each one of them. :)

I'll vote for Xavier (http://www.coolminiornot.com/114219), since someone threw in a BA and DA chaplains.

Ulrik is nice too.

I didn't have that much of a problem with it from what I can remember. Was like 10 years ago though, so my memory might not be correct.

The termie chaplain is definately my favorite.

If I were being sly though, I'd probably go for the LotD sergeant who apparently was to be a LotD chaplain (possibly special character) before they decided to just go with a squad of them.
