Hey guys,

I am messing around with some Lone Wolf Models based on the Space Wolf Pack set, and they have the Mark of the Wulfen. Now for me, the best possible option would be the old, metal Wulfen models but, as GW have decided to stop making them, I will have to try and figure them out.

As such, can anyone think of any Hands/Arms/Heads that would work as good alternatives?

i have thought about the Ungor/Gor/Bestigor Models, but they're not really hairy enough for me, plus the heads aren't wolf-y enough.

So does anyone have any ideas?

this (http://space-wolves-grey.blogspot.com/2012/02/wulfen-conversion-tutorial.html) seems pretty solid... or you can just add genestealers claws^^

It's pretty cool, i was just wondering if anyone know of any bitswap pieces - I'm a bit rubbish at Green Stuff ;)

Plus, I'm looking for hairy arms really, the smootness of the Gor/ungor models doesn't work for me :P

There's Heads (http://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=7) and Arms (http://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=63) available from Puppetswar.eu.
Not used the company so I can't vouch for them, but the pieces seem to be made pretty much for this exact purpose, I suspect they'd merge quite nicely with SM components.

Another option for Temie sized Wulfen would be the new Skin Wolves from Forge world.

Rather expensive, but there are currently 4 packs of the old metal 13th company wulfen models here:

I have a couple that someone built using genestealer arms and green stuff. They also used an upper body of a chaos maurader to make it look a bit more feral. Worked really well.

No help whatsoever, but I was kind of disappointed we didn't see the Wulven models make it into Finecast. They are much better than some of the models that did make it in.

In fact I was kind of surprised the 13th company (now they have returned) were completely ignored in the SW codex. They could have been like a SW version of legion of the damned, appearing out of the warp in times of crisis, unconfirmed sightings, rumours etc. Would have been a good way to sell a bunch of great looking models that they already have in production. Even without rules they change hands for crazy money on the internet.

Maybe even a WD article or apocalypse formation or something. 1 Wolf Preist + X Wulven packs = loads of wolfy madness, you'd sell a bucketload.

Easy money, happy fans.

The lack of models does annoy me, though. Maybe we should start assaulting GW with requests to bring them back.

These, perhaps? (http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12&products_id=97)

I've used them in my SW packs, and they look great. With Ghoul hands coming out of Power Armoured arms they look even better. (If you want to go for even more werewolfy arms, the Beastman arms could work with a bit of cutting before adding the claws.)

Oh my life.

I must have been half remembering that. So all they need now is to release the models they already have...

Instead, we get the old and redundant Storm Caller model.

Awesome! thanks for all the help guys!! I'm loving the puppetswar.eu bits - Anyone know where I can get that in the UK?

You don't need to "get them in the UK" - you can change price to 's (top right) and it looks like a flat rate postage within EU of $5 1st item, $3 for each additional. That's better than most eBay shops.

I just found some good heads and put them on the most beastly looking SW bodies :) Add in some more hair and they should be good to go!

I just used a wolf claw from the space wolf pack box and the wolf helm as a head... gave it a bolt pistol and joined it with a squad. Simple and it works i'll post a pic later.

How about slapping some random bits of power armour on these guys: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/SKIN-WOLVES.html

Tricky, but done right would look amazing.
