A curious point, I want to put my exalted hero with the marauders, to give them terror (once he kills something), however, I'm unsure, as it doesn't say you cannot, but, can you put another character in with Wulfrik in seafang? Any C&C welcome

As far as I know, seafang rules state "Wulfrik and a single unit of marauders", not really leaving any wiggle room for "and their buddy, the chaos lord".

Cool, that means I can drop a warrior and add another marauder, and find some cheap 10 point upgrade

I'd recomend Halberds over AHWs on warriors personally.

On khorne warriors? The reason I take them is to have an anvil, so as to give my marauders (w/Wulfrik) some backup, as well as a contimgency plan to smash enemy units between. I've also been contemplating a hero of Yzeentch, on a disc to do some warmachine sniping (possible 22" charge)

especially on Khorne.

front rank of 6 MoK with AHWs: 31 attacks S4 (including champ)
front rank of 6 MoK with Halberds: 25 attacks S5 (including champ)

those 6 extra strength 4 attacks wont get u that far. But that +1S on every other attack will!

for the mathahmmer:

Vs T3, lower WS opponent:
AHW: 31 attacks = 20.66 hits = 13.77 wounds
Halberds: 25 attacks = 16.66 hits = 13.89 wounds

Vs T3, = or higher WS:
AHW: 31 attacks = 15.5 hits = 10.33 wounds
Halberds: 25 attacks = 12.5 hits = 10.41 wounds

T4, lower WS:
AHW: 31 attacks = 20.66 hits = 10.33 wounds
Halberds: 25 attacks = 16.66 hits = 11.11 wounds

T4 = or higher WS:
AHW: 31 attacks = 15.5 hits = 7.75 wounds
Halberds: 25 attacks = 12.5 hits = 8.33 wounds

so not only will you get more wounds on average, but you'll also have that extra -1AS modifier.

if you want an Anvil though, go MoT, hand weapons and shields. A better anvil is a large unit of marauders with MoT and hand weapons, light armour and shields. Though IMO WoC are the type that you should be smashing through their units with active combat res, not bunkering up.

So, with the Halberds, take halberds and shield? That would be an extra 36 points, where should I drop them from?

It's still just 6 more attacks. You'll get more wounding hits, but the halberds still provide -1 armour over ahw. If u went razor standard and festus then maybe...

Agreed. Nuts not to take a bsb in just about all WH armies in 8th.
