we are gonna play a huge battle 9000 pt total.
three players each side.
as many of you guess my side is skaven.

any idea of how 3 skaven army's can beat those of the above?
how can we work together any advice??

You mean 9 right? (Grand Armies let's you take 4 duplicate rares, but only 3 fit in the allotment).

Everyone takes a bell and max rare maybe a furnace or.two as well also spam engineers.

Go for the TK player, He's the weak link. Or ignore him if the others armies are pretty strong.

table will be 14' x 60".
in my opinion the tk and lizzies have the best magic most die to roll each magic phase.
lizzies mostly chamo skinks and skirmish skinks. for nice hit and run tactics. move outside line of sight and fire away next round the same.
chaos most defenently will not field chaos wariors knights ect. probably, marouders trolls and or dragonogres.
TK will field tomb guards as main unit he hates hidden in the sand his king and hirophant both in 9 chariot units

3k rule 3 HPA per army thats 9 HPA and 9 warp cannons

was wondering how you were gonna do winds of magic?
played 7000 recently split 3000, 2x 2000 a side and we went for 2D6 each but pools couldn't be shared with dispel as normal but being communal

Sounds like a great fun - I take it this is the emphasis? :)

Some suggestions on the battle rules which need to be introduced to make sure it will be fun for every player:

1) At 3X 3000 pts Skaven has an excellent chance of an auto-draw and a good chance of an auto-win. You will have to introduce a rule to prevent this by limiting the usage of Slaves otherwise it won't be fun for your opponents.

2) To prevent a particular army from being wiped out too early, it might be an idea to insist that units of different armies are somehow mixed up during deployment i.e. not - 1 army deployed in 1 region of the board.

3) General's Ld/Inspiring Presence will also have to be decided and suitably modified


4) Some allowances must be made for the TK Hierophant e.g. it cannot die before turn 3 or 4

5) Tactics? - not different from usual Skaven strategy of holding against or immobilizing the best enemy units while focusing on destroying the weaker ones but at 3000 X 3, you have tremendous leeway with army lists - imagine wiping out 50 Chaos knights in one volley of shooting!

The skink skirmisher are no real thread because with so many points there is no way to evade a front of skavenslaves.

What rules do you have? Can every army on the same side have the same magic items?
If yes it could lead to 3 grey seer with a power scroll each - if not the other side have access to more different magic items because they can choose from 3 different books.

The same apply to magic spells - with only 13 spells you can choose from you can not take many wizards (except the wizard hat).
