I'm thinking about making a peasant scum sort of army, and I'm just poking around with the following list.

Duke 110
Paladin Battle Standard Bearer; Warhorse 74
Paladin Royal Pegasus 110
Damsel of the Lady 70

Peasant Bowmen x10 Skirmish 70
Peasant Bowmen x10 Skirmish 70
Peasant Bowmen x10 60

Men at Arms x25 full command 152
Men at Arms x25 full command 152

Knights of the Realm x8 full command 216
Knights of the Realm x8 full command 216

Grail Relquae 6 Battle Pilgrims, 19 Additional Models 289

Pegasus Knights x3 Champion 165

Field Trebuchet 90
Field Trebuchet 90

102 models
1934 points

I don't need a dominating list to play and have fun, but OTOH I wouldn't enjoy playing a total stinker all of the time either.

Any thoughts? Thanks

only a single unit of bowmen may be upgraded to skirmishers.

Yeah just take one unit of 20. :)

I have no idea how the army would work, but it sure would be different.

Thanks. I just picked up the book about an hour ago. Bummer about the skirmishers.

If you upgrade to the champion with the better leadership does the unit benefit?

it would be different, and yes the unit would benefit

Thanks for the tip.

I like bretts, but I swear if I have to face another grail knight unit with the banner of spank your ranks on the fanny uberliness I think I'll gag on a horse shoe until I pass out. *sigh*

wow, its always really freaky when you find someone posting an armylist incredibly similar to something you were planning yourself!

My only thing with this list is which characters to take and where to put them; i.e. is it worth having perhaps a paladin with the virtue of empathy to join a m@a unit or something?

That's the one that lets him be on foot right? Yes definitely. I also wonder if it would be more in character and perhaps more useful to have two yeomen units rather than the flying knights. Also probably drop the character mounted on the pegasus too.

Damn you had me excited though t I was going to see an almost all peasant army, and get another damsel

Well, the fliers will all go (including the character) to be replaced by yeoman. Probably add another caster too. So it looks like about 110+ non knights v.s. 16 knights. So I'd say that qualifies as almost all peasants.

I picked up the batallion box and an extra men at arms box last night. So I'm getting started.
