This army is obviously based on two principles:
1) Get as much use out of the Battalion box as possible
2) Griffons are cool!

With four attempts to Channel dispel dice and the +1 on dispel rolls with the mage my hope is that the army can whether the storm during the first couple of turns before it gets stuck in. The Canons can always try and snipe enemy spellcasters and hopefully the Flagelants will provide a speed-bump for my left flank.
The big regiments and the Warrior Priests make the center of my battle-line, with the Knights and Griffon making a pincer-maneuver on my right flank. The artillery and mage goes where I see most fit for the battle at hand.

So, the question is, does any of this make any lick of sense or have I created a very expensive paper-dragon that would crumble in the face of any given adversary? :p

make 1 unit of 50 halberds with double detachment, this will be a lot stronger and actually live. I would scrap the flaggies, they are a 30+ only unit... perhaps add a helblaster from

personally i dont see the point in a general of the empire. I rather just have a captain of the empire make him my bsb he does all the same stuff and saves you points

i would transform your army to look more like this:

What is the runefang for? on average you get 2 wounds with it, with a great weapon you would generally get 2 wounds on all but monsters or characters for 80 points less! I would swap for talisman of protection (hes pure cannon bait) and perhaps fencer blades.
I also find this format a lot easier to read.

for those knights,huss is quite good, and can make the unit stubborn!

Captain - BSB, FP, SH, dragonhelm, dawn stone - 128
a BSB is a MUST in all armies, and he has a 2+ re-rollable to keep him alive

Warrior Priest: great weapon, The Armour of Meteoric Iron - 121
great weapon to maximize hit two attacks

Battle Wizard (Lvl 2 ): Dispell scroll -125
lvl 2 and DS allows for some defensive magic


Core

48 Halberds: full command - 488
Det: 10 x-bows
Det: 10 x-bows

15 IC Knights: full command, steel standard : 340

That is a better list! I was up so late I had no idea what I was even typing beyond the two battalions thing, but that seems like a reasonably solid list. :p

im not sure what lore your going for, but beasts (for wizzans) or fire (for shooting) could be beneficial, as could life or shadows.
