Hey guys so I have a tzeench chaos space marine army and at 2k+ I am planning to ally in fateweaver some horrors with the changeling flames and screamers. Would you call this list cheesy?

Tzeentch Marines? With Tzeentchian Daemons? You filthmonger. If you came down our local group we'd break yer kneecaps.

It's totally fine. Kairos is powerful and has good synergy with Thousand Sons and their ilk, but he's supposed to work that way and is as fluffy as you can get.

In a word, no. Not at all.

It's completely themed to one Chaos god. And consists of two of the weaker (at least in 5th) codexes around. I wouldn't call that cheesy, ever, unless you're rocking like 6 flying monstrous creatures and that turns out to be OP--though I don't think it will, given how much it would cost. Even then you're still limiting yourself purely to Tzeentch units for the rest of it, which may have gotten better but are certainly not known as powerhouses; even Flamers are chancy. Fateweaver is probably the only Tzeentch thing that anyone has called cheesy since halfway through 3rd Ed. at least, and that's just one character in your army, so I think it's fine.

Just make sure every unit has 9 in it. :)

Oh my god emperor thats terrible why would two forces serving the same chaotic power ever work with each other?!

It sounds fine as long as its fluffy i'm all for it.

IMO allying CSM with Chaos Deamons is one of the best justifications for the new "Allies" rules.

Considering until at some point GW's design team lost its mind (or lost a battle with the sales department) and split daemons from Chaos Marines that they were perfectly acceptable in the same army, I can't see how it is too cheesy.

i agree i just wanted peoples opinions on it :D the only cheesy thing i can see in the army is termies led by a chaos lord with re rollable 2+ armour saves and 4+ invuns.

Stuff like this is the best justification for having allies rules in the first place. I am sure we are going to see some horrible combos but hopefully your gaming group can reach a happy equilibrium.

i hope so too. i like the daemon army but i don't want to have to buy a full daemon army as i prefere my chaos marines :) plus its nice to play a underdog army.

Sounds fluffy to me, and my Necron army is probably going to be described as cheesy without any allies so I'd be up for whatever you've got
