If a wizard becomes level 0 (or less) due to a miscast or various other effects, can he do the following things?

1. Channel

2. Cast any spells he might still know

3. Use arcane items

4. Be considered "a wizard" for game effects. Such as, "all wizards that can see this banner are stupid" and such.

I believe it's YES to all of the questions. I don't have the rulebook with me, since I'm at work. Fell free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes to 1, 3 and 4 because he's still a wizard and these actions aren't forbidden.
Nr 2 is explicitly adressed in the faq and not allowed.

The rulebook FAQ answers most, if not all, of these questions directly.

Hmmm, obviously I'm going to have to go find that and print it out.

Since I cannot post new topics yet, I would like to ask you guys a question:
How do you treat channeling by Horrors that lost their level (dropped to 5 or less)? Armybook says that Horrors are caster with their level determined at start of each magic phase. And cause normal mages that lost their levels to 0 (becasue of miscast/greedy fist) still can channel I use them for channeling no matter the size.

A unit of Horrors that is 5 models or less is a Level 0 wizard in all respects so it can still attempt to channel.

Unless they errata'd it or something, they may channel; since they are considered wizards of level 0.

Beat me to it, Bob.
