I want to know how many times that name repeats in different parts of 40k

I know there's a C'tan dragon, a space marine chapter ("Space Dragons"? or did I make that up)
A class of Craftworld Eldar ships
Fire Dragon aspect warriors
A... I bet there's something Chaos related... a Dragonclaw or something?
'Dragonfire', was something called dragonfire in 40k too? Like special rounds of ammunition.

The Star Dragons Imperial Space Marines are a 'canon' chapter; and you're correct – dragonfire bolts are one of the Sternguard ammo options.

i'm just curious as to why you care about how much 40k stuff has 'dragon' in it's name.

Not nearly as many things as are named "blood" "dark" or "black".

You forgot to mention dragons.

Edit: Unless you mean rules rather than fluff.
This is similarly curve-ball / apparently pointless as the thread asking how many independent characters have hit & run.

Is someone making / playing some sort of 40k pub quiz??

Eh, at least it gets people talking heh.

At least he didnt ask how many chapters had 'blood', knight', 'angel' in their name or something similar, which would have taken approximately infinity days to answer.

I was going to say that.

But 'wolf' is one of those too.

or "wolf".

Just read codex space wolves once and the word wolf will be the most frequent noun you have ever read.

Dragon the Eldar god
There was a real Eldar god called "Dragon"? I mean a god as part of their Warp-pantheon instead of just a very bad mythic creature?

There's the upcoming flyer for Chaos Marines too...
Wow, this thread could really drag on...
