Would like to know what the general consensus is in regards to fire-forge mini's and how they stack up to GW. Im planning on building a Brettonian army based on the Crusades using our own history and GW lore.

I know from looking at the pictures the sculpts arent as clean as what we are used to from GW but scale wise, how do they compare.

Im thinking of using GW KOTR and then using fire forge sergeant at arms and mounetd sergeants as yeoman and ment at arms. Purely from an aesthetic point of view would they be to clashy or fit perfectly?

Thanks in advance!

Best to head over the the Bretonnian forum (http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=87). The Fireforge models have been discussed and ocmpared quite extensively there. I like the models a lot myself!

As a recent Bretonnian I definitely can see the appeal of these models. I believe some of the miniatures, not being heroic 28mm are a tad bit smaller, not sure how much smaller though.

I did find some size comparisons for you

The second image the poster said that the knight had a hard time fitting on the wide Bretonnian horse. I still think the models look nice though. And I'd find it hard to tell the difference in infantry sizes.

I don't like the knights all that much to be frank. The mounted sergeants are more to my liking and the foot-sergeants are just perfect. They have the feel of the old GW men-at-arms and appeal much more to me then the new models from GW (of which I don't have any). When it comes out I am sure to buy two boxes of foot sergeants and expand my men-at-arms to 4x50.
