Saw the release of the Fellblade on the FW website and the blurb mentions that it's design is based on the Baneblade and Deathhammer super heavy tank.
What is this Deathhammer super heavy tank of which they speak? Never heard of it before and there isn't a whole lot of info in the web about it. When I googled it all I got was the Fellblade blurb back again.
Does anybody know or have any images?

Cool! Thanks for the info.
Thought I had a handle on most of the 40K superheavies, so when they mentioned it it and I couldn't find out anything, it piqued my interest.

Its not based on the same design its a fluff note about the Baneblade, Fellblade, and Deathhammer were all made from the same STC.
its referenced in the newest Horus Heresy book

Skullhammer, that's what they need. Or is that already an Orky thing

IIRC the orks have had Skullhamma battle fortress in epic since the early 90's.

What was the quad battlecannon tank called for Epic? Was that some sort of "hammer" tank? Hammer tanks would seem to be short(er) ranged assault tanks compared to the sword or blade tanks so anyone want to speculate wildly on what weapons it'll come with?

Given the recent GW trend in naming, it'll be armed with at least 1 "Deathcannon"

Unless FW step in first and give it a decent name (which, since it appears to be a FW project, has a pretty decent likelihood of occuring)

I'd rather see the Banhammer tank. That's the only tank anyone should be afraid of...

Stormhammer is the one that springs to mind.

*Sigh*. GW was doing a good job with new tank names but looks like they've taken a bad turn. At least Baneblade had alliteration going for it. Deathhammer? A hammer isn't even an implement of war. You use it for carpentry. What's next? Adjustable-hate-wrench, perhaps the venerable Vengence-Saw.

Never heard of a thing called a 'War Hammer' then, have you?

Warhammer certainly is an implement of war.

(As is thunder hammer, if you want a more 40K-related weapon.)

Probably Deathhammer rules will be released for Massacre or even for 40k Apocalypse if this vehicle exists also in 40k era :)

Forge World don't necessarilly release models for everything they give an off-hand mention, remember...

Where's my Land Raider Tartarus, dammit?

I would dearly love to see a Stormhammer 40K plastic kit.
