Hello Warseer,

I've recently picked up a few Savage Orc models from a Bring & Buy not knowing much about them. I was planning to cut them up, re-arm them and use them as lobotomised slaves in a themed Lizardman army.

However, I've stumbled onto the Collecting Citadel Miniatures page and they appear to be unreleased sculpts. Bottom of the page, listed as Orc Boy 1, Orc Boy 2 and Orc Boy Arms. (http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Orcs_-_Unreleased)

They are listed as unreleased trainee(?) scuplts, and I was hoping someone might have more information about these lovely little sculpts. Are thay at all actually rare? I can say that my google-fu has failed me with this.

Cheers,

Vyper

Not sure, the resident expert on unreleased stuff is OLIVERASO here, but those look like 5th ed metal "trainee" models ... those arms remind me of the very first modulable kit for orc boyz, and the bodies have the jutting lower jaw of that era too ... what's strange is the unarmoured bodies, tough.

They are earlier than 5th Ed - more like late 3rd / early prototypes for 4th Ed. Compare them with these 3rd Ed (http://www.solegends.com/citcat912/c20170savageorcs-h.htm) & 4th Ed (http://www.solegends.com/citcat9x3/c92367ogtrolls-01.htm) Savage Orcs and they seem to fit somewhere inbetween - but the arms are similar to those from the Drastic Plastik Orcs (http://www.solegends.com/citcat88/0002plastics.jpg). Apart from that, have no idea.

No idea about the sculptor - I have one of them, paid 11 on ebay for it ; this is an very early training sculpt - no more info about that.
Sorry.
Hope you haven't paid too much for them, there are quite ugly sculpt. Mine is painted, I will post pics on my plog later ...

Hi and thanks for checking in on the thread. I managed to pick them up really quite cheaply I think, mostly with a view to chopping them up a bit and hence not minding the plain sculpts. But maybe I'll keep them as is instead.

Thank you
