Hi group;

Getting back into 40K with my Imperial Guard. Could some one explain "allies" to me? Is it a seperate force organization chart? Or is it only one FoC? You can take anyone as an ally? Chaos and Space Marines? Bugs and Necrons? Eldar and Dark Eldar? Are there limits? I want to bring back my Guard company escorting a member of the Inquisition. Guard and Inquisiton allies.

Thanks

search the forum first, there was a thread about this like 2 weeks ago.

It's a second, limited FOC that you can take in addition to your primary FOC.

And the rulebook provides the information quite clearly and simply.

Welcome back, Fallen Scholar. As Beppo has said already, the 'Alliance' system works as an additional force organizational chart.

There's four levels of allies, and the alliance quality affects how they work alongside your forces.

Battle Brothers
Allies of Convenience
Desperate Allies
Come the Apocalypse

You can read much more about this on page 112 of the Big Rule Book. :D

sorry not being more precise but the forum is strict that "rule fishing" as they call it is not allowed, see posters above for an overview but you will need to get a rulebook and look at p.112 for the details.
