View Full Version : Mounted wight king model?

Hey, where can I find a cool looking mounted wight king? I find the gw model really ugly.

Forge world may do one. Otherwise just make a Black Knight look more royal and that will probably do

Nah, Forge World only have the BSB on foot. Try pimping out a Bretonnian model by adding some skulls and Grave Guard spares.

You could try kitbashing the new Black Knights; the impressive looking big winged head from the Grave Guard kit perhaps?

Or mix the plastic wight king with a black knight ;) the plastic wight king has that cool crown.

The old metal wight king is not so bad if you clip the wings on his helmet a bit.

Conversion using body of chaos knight and steed and bits from black knights, maybe some grave guard bits too..?

I don't have the money to buy several boxes to make one model, unfortunately

Then try bits sellers, they'd probably have everything you could need and a bit more besides. I've never used any myself, but it's always an option

Or *gasp* try a non GW stockist...

This won't be a problem, unless you play in the shop or at officially sanctioned tournaments.

If you already have some new Black Knights, just sacrifice one of them and pick up the new foot Wight King.

Rhellion thank you for that

I was being to thick to realise that you can pose him sideways

I always thought the GW black knights looked a bit on the static end (but I'm spoiled, playing wood elves, whose horses are anything but).
As such, I'd recommend Gamezone's Mournful knight standard bearer (link: http://gamezoneminiatures.de/vampire/ritter-der-verdammten-standartentraeger.html ).
- It'll probably cost you about the same as a character model from GW usually does.

Mind you, I'm generally a big advocate of using non-GW miniatures in GW games, as I think GW could do a better job modelling-wise on much of what they do in fantasy. Perspectives may differ.

Edit: If he's not supposed to be the BSB of the army, just check the other mournful knights - there are quite a few others, as I recall.
