If i am wrong, please correct me and remove the thread. But what i have looked up it looks like at least that warhammer fantasy was started(in some form) 1983. Since i have not been in the hobby so long i have been having trouble to look it up to confirm it looks to me that wfb is 30 years old this year. Do you think that games workshop will celebrate it like they did with 40k the previous year?

GW celebrated the 25th birthday of both games. They might do something minor but that will be up to Kirby I assume.

They probably will do something as it is such a milestone but anyone over the age of 14 won't be able to come to the stores as we aren't their target customers.

There aren't that many "old hands" still with them, though, so as far as the magazine goes, it might just be pictures. They've done retrospectives before, and even if it was old news, it's still fun.

30 years is cool, but it doesn't have the same ring to it as 25.

Realm of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness is 25 years old this year. :D

... So is Blood Bowl (second edition).

... So is Dark Future.

... So is Dark Future.
I'm reading 'Krokodil Tears' at the moment because I'm thinking of doing a Dark Future-esque RPG campaign set in the grim cyberpunk future of... er, the 1990s.

As cool as a new edition of Dark Future might be, I don't recall this being a very successful game in it's first incarnation, so I'm not so sure how well a resurrection would go...

Damon. It wasn't ... and that was when Mad Max was still happening!

Heh, if so may I hope for anniversary Gorkamorka box in 2017? I swear I'll be old enough then, with all supposed features (mortgage, kids, zero free time).
