PRE-HERESY TIME! I am a in debate as to make a loyalist Sons force or a Heretical force, as apparently there were those in the Legion who a posed the Warmaster! :D

What do you think?

Some Early bases :D

For the Warmaster! I like the bases, this will be good

i'm planning on doing the same thing, can't decide though emporer's children or sons of horus. what is your list?

25-02-2013, 10:48
do what you like better, you will be painting a lot of stuff, so you better like the colour scheme. I do a Emperors Children Army with mainly a lot of Veterans, Terminators, Jet Bikes, a few Dreads, a Contemptor and Fulgrim.

Thanks for the feed back guys :D I agree with Iornpit, Choose a Legion you associate most with, enjoy the background and like painting :D My army list atm is pretty poor, Im more of a painter than a player, so I have 2 Contemptors and 1 relic Contemptor, 10 man Iorn Armour Squad, A 5 man squad of Heresy Armour, A legion commander, a legion standard. and 10 Justarin Terminators :D

I like the plog, but incubi green seems too blue for them...

I agree with Mage. The technical skills on display here are excellent, but that's definitely blue, not green.

04-03-2013, 04:48
I reiterate, I agree with Inquisitor Engel, that the talent in this thread is excellent, but the 'green' is a little off, only a little, but its literally one or two shades in the wrong direction of 'sea green'. If I were to use a metaphor, it's like a beautiful guitar that plays fine, it's just slightly, every so slightly, out of tune.

When I saw the Contemptor steppin', I had to make this.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I Agree!, the more I look at the artwork, the more I think its a bit to light! Thank you for the MEME DarkSoldier! hahaha

The wash (I think) certainly helped bring it down to more reasonable 30K Sons of Horus levels. I think this fits well within the spectrum we've been given in the books, though it still appears a bit blue (versus green) to my eyes.

I understand what you mean, I have been comparing it to the artwork and this current colour (Incubi Darkness) seems to match more than the last one (Thunderhalk blue) which was used in Last month White Dwarf. the painting needs a few more touch ups, but I'm quite happy with the outcome :)

very nice, i like it! want to start a pre heresy army too!

07-03-2013, 12:51
Thank you:) Its pretty fun to do! :D

Okay guys, after thinking about what Inquisitor said, I decided to change it a 3rd time! It is now much closer to the colour of Loken in this vide by Forge World
