Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on taking units of 15 models White Lions, and Silver Helms? I can see doing this with Sword Masters, and Dragon Princes, but its less optimized since they have 2 attacks at the front. This seems to be a way to limit the number of attacks that come your way, while maximizing your attacks on a point for point basis?

Cost: 205
White Lions x 15

Cost: 365
Silver Helms x 15

Yes, people have wondered this before, e.g. here: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?371796-MSU-now-feasible-with-High-Elves and here http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?372782-Age-of-the-Silver-Star

Taking 15 models does not limit the number of attacks coming your way. ;) In some situations, fielding a unit 5 wide will do that. "Normal" units would lose proportionally more attacks, for example going from 30:30 to 10:21. Swordmasters in 5*3 go from 40:30 to 20:24, so they still lose quite some hitting power but it's exactly proportional to their cost and size decrease, and if you can get off a double charge, you're golden.

15 silver helms is good because if you add the champion you have 25% of a 1500 point force.
