1) Rumour Roundup != spammy posts without rumour-related content/links/pictures.

2) Rumour Roundup = posts with rumour-related content/links/pictures.

Thus, I deleted all the stuff from category 1). From now on, please try not to spam this thread or I'll have to get one of these red whacking sticks...

*sigh*

*deletes another post*

Ok, one last time. The rumour roundup is not meant for the discussion of pictures/rumours. It's just here for adding info/rumours or pictures & links.

Please take the discussions about all this to the regular threads. :)

Thanks.

To the many cheers of fans out there, Chaos Dwarves are now confirmed as eventually one day getting an army book and miniture range, rather than the most likely reports we've had before- or so some GD Chicago fans are saying- more on this as it unfolds lol

Looks like there may be plastic Spiders Riders coming out some time in the future, although no one has yet agreed when or why!

Also, is this a new eagle, or is it a conversion- the jury is out!

Ok dudes, here are some dubious 7th ed. rumours

Couple of rumors I've gotten from a play tester. Don't know if they've been posted, but here goes.

1. A new combat res modifier. Basically, if your frontage is large enough to have unengaged models on the front rank, then you get a +1 cr.

2. Power dice that wizards generate can only be used by them. Basically, no taking a couple of cheap low levels just to feed dice to the high level one.

3. New miscast table and rules. If you miscast, then you pick up all the dice that rolled 1s, roll them and add them together. So if you throw 4 dice for a cast and have 3 roll 1s, then you roll 3 dice and add together for the miscast result.

4. They are upping the amount of power dice a wizard can throw at a spell by one. So a level 1 can throw 3 power dice at his one spell. Actually makes a level one wizard more useful than they are currently.

(-> fromAsur/Dakka)

Quite frankly anyone could have just invented these and they seem a little strange so who knows? I personally think they should be taken with a pinch of salt

To avoid confusion, please don't forget to use the quote tags if you are quoting other member's posts and add a reference if possible. E.g. in case the rumour is taken from another forum.

Thanks,
Sylass.

Coming soon:

Warhammer Realms: Land of Giants

About Ogre Kingdoms, so not in fact giants

EDIT: We don't actually know what the Land of Giants will be, if it turns out to be anything at all. It might only be a series of articles in WD concerning the new plastic Giant (background, converting, painting, tactics...).

Time will show.

The pictures show the following:

Night Goblin force
1 Night Goblin Big Boss (with squig and great weapon)
1 Night Goblin Shaman (with staff and cauldron)
40 Night Goblins with spears
20 Night Goblins with short bows
10 Forest Goblin Spider Riders
1 Troll

12 Dwarf Warriors with hand weapons and shields
10 Thunderers
8 Miners
1 Cannon
1 Pony-drawn Beer/Ore Cart

In addition there are one Night Goblin totem, a barricade(?), two signposts(?) and four wound markers (two for the dwarfs and two for the goblins) and quite possibly more things we can't see.

New Starter Set - Slaughter at Skull Pass
http://folk.ntnu.no/tarjeia/images/newbox.jpg
Link to picture (http://folk.ntnu.no/tarjeia/images/Ey3SfIA.jpg)

The picture confirms amongst other things that the Goblins are indeed one piece and do not come with separate shields or heads. Included are also textured bases for the Spider Riders and Troll.

As you can see, the box will contain the miniatures listed above, a "getting started booklet" for the series of linked scenarios, a smaller version of the rulebook (containing all the rules for the game but no backgrouns, terrain articles, etc.) as well as templates, whippy sticks and so forth.

UPDATE: From Games Day Atlanta we have the US price: $45, which is the same as the Lord of the Rings and Warhammer 40K starter sets. The other starter sets all cost 40 in the UK* and thus it can be assumed that the UK price for the Slaughter at Skull Pass is also 40 in the UK.

* the updated 40K set costs 50, but a paint set has been included. The original price was 40.
