Hi guys,

Is there a definitive list somewhere of Lords/Heroes that change possible core choices (e.g. Thrott, Throgg)?

If not, could we build one?

Thanks,

List:

Beastmen:
Ghorros Warhoof*: Centigors as Core

Bretonnians:
The Enchantress: Can take a unit of Grail Knights as a retinue as part of her Lords cost
Leon Leoncur: Removes restrictions on Grail Knights; moves Core Peasants to Special
Bretonnian Lord on Pegasus: Waives restrictions on Pegasus Knights

Dark Elves
Crone Hellebron: Witch elves as Core

Lizardmen
Kroq Gar: One unit of Cold Ones as Core

Orcs and Goblins:
Gorbad Ironclaw: Unlimited Big 'Uns

Skaven:
Thrott the Unclean: Rat Ogres as Core

Warriors of Chaos
Throgg: Chaos Trolls as Core

Wood Elves
Highborn (Wood Elf): Eternal Guard as Core
Orion: Wild Riders as Core, Glade Guard and Scouts as Special

*Not a Lord/Hero

Although not a hero, Ghorros Warhoof lets you take Centigors as Core.

Gorbad Ironclaw gives you unlimited Big Uns. I guess that counts.

Kroq GAr lets you take 1 Cold One Riders unit as Core.

I think one of the Bretonnia characters let you take a single unit of Grail Knights which does not count towards your rare choices, which is redundant in 8th ed. Grail Knights are 0-1, IIRC, so this rule still lets you take one unit more than you are usually allowed.

Wood Elves - Eternal Guard are Core if your army is led by a Highborn.
- If your army is led by Orion, Wild Riders are core, while Glade Guard and Scouts move to Special.

The Enchantress can take a unit of Grail Knights as a retinue, and counts as part of her Lords cost.

Leon Leoncur removes restrictions on Grail Knights, and moves Core Peasants to Special.

Bretonnian Lords on Pegasus remove restrictions on Pegasus units.

A model with the Grail Vow (character or unit) is required to field Grail Pilgrims.

Dark Elves - Crone Hellebron - Move witch elves from Special to Core

Bret Lord on Pegasus waives restriction on Pegasus Knight, but does not make them a core pick...now that would make a Bret a viable army though...

Josef Bugman (Dwarfs) mandates that you take a unit of Longbeard Rangers, which overrides the restriction of only one unit of rangers (you can take 2) and the restriction of needing at least one unit of warriors for each unit of longbeards.

Skavenses
Lord Skrolk moves plague monks to core.
Thrott also allows giant rats to count towards minimum core.

I think Throgg gives you core chaos ogres as well?

Also a dwarf lord will give you the opportunity of taking one longbeard unit more than the number of warrior units

Skrag the Slaughterer allows Gorgers to be taken in units of up to two and also allows them to be taken more than three times in a standard army. Doesn't make 'em core, but rearranges them a bit.

WHen you have skarsnik in a goblin army you can take as many night goblins as you want as core!

Wood Elves: Drycha list allows for only forest spirits to be taken in the army eliminating Glade Guard, Scouts and Glade Riders from the list entirely.
