How big is the LotR community around your parts? I'm from the west coast of the U.S. and I dont know anyone who plays, but I've heard its more popular on the east coast and in Europe. Is that true?

Geneva/Southern Switzerland completely non-existant. The only shop selling it in Geneva couldn't shift it at 40% off.

We've never had anyone playing the SBG but a few years ago I made a big push to get people into WotR and we had a dozen or so playing pretty regular, even had a small tournament, but then I got sick and GW basically stopped all LotR stuff for a while and people moved on to other games. Now it's basically non existent.

I voted "small". I'm aware of a few separate groups of players, but none number more than a handful of players.

I am the only guy I know that has completed LoTR/WoTR armies but there is a rumour that there are a few others around- I just dont know who they are :( so I went with "Small (2-8)".

At one point it was just me and one other guy, but thanks to the sterling efforts of a staff member at GW Liverpool, it's risen to half a dozen of us playing in a campaign.

Warhammer World has about 4 communities. All are small (4-8) and rarely overlap until tournaments happen.

Nonexistent, as far as I can tell, in the Kansas City area. Then again, Warhammer Fantasy almost shares the same fate.

In St. Louis, we have a decent group (10+). We had a resurgence of players when our GW store reopened.

At my old club in Cornwall there was a small group of us that played, but since then that club has moved onto other things. Nothing much happening up in Cheltenham as far as I know. Even the GW store tries its best to hide all the Hobbit stuff it has!

Non-existant and scorned. It exists only in my dining room when I invite gaming friends to play WotR using one of my 4 factions. I live in a large metropolitan area in California.
