One Grudge Thower swap for another cannon. Always look to put more cannons in.

Also, blocks of twenty isn't going to cut it you need something that grabs the attention away from your war machines.

If I had to break down this list.

Runelord
W/ Anvil

Thane BSB
Master Engineer/Thane'o'Pain

30+ DW w/ Great Weapons run as horde in my opinion

Longbeard unit to back up a unit not within BSB range.

Thunderers would do much better than the Quarrelers.

And if you want to go that shooty, but stout route go Rangers. Quarrelers is nothing better than using 20 HE Archers as your main charging force. Especially in 8th you want to deny the charge as much as possible.

Hammers is redundant and longbeards do it better.

Opt for more DW or make that Longbeard Unit or again take more cannons!

If your taking the two grudge throwers fine. T3 you will have fun with. But really look at the Ironbreakers much better value at the rear of your BSB use them against the enemies horde core and you will tarp it then every time.

Do not underestimate your flaming attacks. Especially when needing to deal with chariots. So gyrocopter and flame cannon away!!

8th is all about lasting in combat. Yes your artillery battery will hurt some opponents, but at a tourny your friend may go up against a horde army like OnG or Skaven and then all that shooting isn't worth anything. You need big combat blocks Warrior with GW, Longbeards with GW, a BSB. And for the love of Valhalla do NOT take the Flame Cannon.

Main question tournament format?
Flame Cannon and Demonslayer are the worst choice imaginable really OP ( over priced XD )
18 Hammerers , they 'ill die quickly
I don' t either like Master Engineer

Two hordes of warriors with great weapons (40ish), one horde of hammerers, one unkillable BSB, 2 cannons, a rune lord with rune of balance. Add whatever else.

Put warriors on either side of the hammerers. Put BSB in hammer unit.
