Ascendant Angels? .... looking to do a DA successor / possibly later move over to C:SM


looked for it and didn't see any others that had the same name - just want to make sure - if you read the earlier post on chapter colors, fluff is coming soon after the name.

I wasn't able to google anything on Lexicanum.

Bolter and Chainsword's DIY forum had Angels Ascendant here (http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245354-the-angels-ascendant/), here (http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/202032-angels-ascendant-first-rewrite-formally-swords-of-dawn/), and here (http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/135297-index-traitoris-angels-ascendant/).

So nothing official on it as far as I can tell.

I like the Angels Ascendant better too, but I think the best is probably the 'Ultraviolets'. It'd be fluffy. Also paint them ultraviolets.

Angels Ascendant sounds too close to being a BA chapter successor ..... BA is angels ____________ DA is Angels of _____________, and there is already someone on bolter and chainsword that has a angels ascendant custom chapter with fluff done ..... idk i'll think about swapping it around, I had it that way originally until I looked at the BA stuff.

I don't know It more makes me think of the Andromeda Ascendant than of blood angels sucessors.

A ship which Gene Roddenberry based a show on. It was a large ship that was stuck in the timelessness of a black hole's event horizon while the political entity went down in flames. Kevin Sorbo played the captain and was referred to as being "built like a greek god".

Went for several seasons. Some interesting characters in there.

They worded it like that after casting Hercules as Dylan hunt? that's almost blatant lampshading.

I do believe it was quite deliberate. Kevin Sorbo was quite famous for playing that role over numerous seasons and movies, and so they made a little fun of themselves for it.
