what do you think of this for an all comers list?

Combat - it has 2 combat characters and 4 stegadons
Shooting - masses of poison javs plus 3 great bows for pinging monsters
magic - strong defence but average to weak offense.
Leadership - if the general is nearby then am good other wise may not be good...
1+ armour - the stegs will ping things and in combat they may grind stuff down but not a good idea. The 2 characters are S7 so 1+ becomes a 5+. I can live with that.
Warmachine hunting - the 2 chammie units may assist but vs a good oppo may not.

What's your plan for the cohort units? Are they just to fill out Core and provide banners for B&G, or are they supposed to contribute?

why the trogs? what do they bring? wouldnt ancient stegs or a bsb be better?

That is a hell of a lot of multi shots all them skinks 0.0

I'd agree with at least 1 bastialdon get some (OP) magic to hit them with

hmm I may swap out the old blood and scar vet for a slann bsb with highlore. then I could hand a steggie giant bow for some long range 1+ armour removal. you are right, I should sub in a bassie or 2.

I looked at the trogs and thought that 200 points is a lot of points to pay for 3 S5 attacks, D6 stomp attacks and a s5 D3 wound shot. compared to a bassie that does a lot similar for 3/4 the points. I want to like trogs. maybe they would be handy vs flying monsters. but even then its 1/3 to hit at 10 inches then 1/2 to wound then say 1/3 to get past armour then 2/3 to get past ward save. that's 2/54 or 1/27 chance to sneak a wound past.

vs ogre bulls its much better with 1/3*2/3 = 2/9 to get a wound through. Not that great for the points again. 30 skinks skirms = 1/3 to hit = 10 hits ~2 poison etc.
