Huhu,

My ever expaning force of Luna Wolves (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?325895-Luna-Wolves) is in dire need of some bigger firepower. The Legio Mortis has decreed that Horus may deploy the might of the Warhound Titan Sothis.

This is my first ever titan and as I'm unpacking the box I now realise the difficulties of this kit. I want to share my progress with you guys and ofcourse and very interrested in your comments and critique!
So why Sothis? Well, mostly it's because of the color scheme. It is an existing Titan out of the Horus Heresy: Betrayal book, and has elements of white in it, which link the Warhound and my Luna Wolves together.

So! Day 1! Piston Madness!
Unpacking and arranging all the bits and pieces... and this kit has a lot of 'em

With everything sorted together I started assembling the model. I figured that just glueing this kit together wouldn't work out, so I started pinning the toes

With the toes pinned they are ready to get attached to the main foot section.

With the toes all pinned down, but not glued so I can reposition them, I moved on to attaching the toes to the main feet part.
I could use the hole of the center toe to pin the joint of the lower leg, and make sure it never leaves it's place after it's drilled, slotted in and finally glued

So I've got 2 feet, which I can still re-position coz I haven't glued anything yet, but no legs to attach to the feet yet...
The legs and feet are the tricky bit in this kit... if you mess it up the foundation for the body is either too weak or looks weird. So to counter that; MORE PINNING!

This way I can still reposition the warhound, dryfit the bits and start glueing when I am satisfied... right now I am halfway in, and Sothis kind of walks...

The shinguards are attached with magnets, so I can swap them and easily reach the parts behind 'em while painting.

Man, I really appreciate such a detailed construction by yourself - I knew it was a difficult kit but crikey.

Huhu,

Thnx for the comment :)
When I got the kit I've been strolling the internet, trying to find instructions on how to assemble this beast. Warseer has some pretty good bloggers whom share this same experience with the community. Figured I'd do the same and help out other people, or give them some ideas :)

Huhu,

When you get yours sorted out, make sure to let me know so I can see how you tackle assembling your titan :)

I think once I have completed a company of marines I might treat myself to a titan. They are so cool!

Huhu!

So more work on the Titan today! I inserted all the pistons and basically finished the entire leg/feet section.

Here are some WIP shots! :)

Huhu,

With the pistons finished this is what the legs look like :) I'm quite happy with 'em!

Now all that remains is to add greenstuff to all the drillholes and a bit of cleaning up!
