View Full Version : Charge Clarification

Hey guy's, had an odd one pop up the other day during a game and wanted some feedback. The situation looked like this:

* Unit 1 wants to declare a charge against unit 2.
* There is a large line of sight blocking piece of terrain obscuring the vision of those unit 1 models closest to unit 2.
* However, models further along the front rank of unit 1 can still see unit 2, albeit at a somewhat extreme angle.

For the purposes of measuring the charge: do I use the shortest distance to those models that do not have line of sight, or do you measure off the closest model that can actually see?

You cannot draw line of sight through line of sight blocking objects. You can measure distance through them though.

If any of the models of the target unit are in the charging unit charge arc they can charge it. You just need to measure from the closest to closest model. Its not dependent on terrain. All it matters is the Charge distance is equal to the distance between the closest to closest model and that the correct side is connected with finishing the charge.

Always measure from the closest edge, as long as something can see their target, they are within the front arc, and it s possible to get there, you are good to go.

Thanks all! We played it correctly then.
