I recently bought a small lot of warhammer models and I need a bit of help identifying them. I'd like to know from which year/edition they roughly are, and, in case of some, exactly what they're meant to be.

This I believe is a 4th or 5th edition dark elf general, but I'm not sure.

These are three undead, two skeletons and one model riding a skeleton steed. The skeletons came with a shield sprue. I have really no idea what the rider is supposed to be, a wight or something perhaps?

Thanks in advance,
Nerevarine

The two skeletons on foot were marketed as "Armoured Skeletons" until recently under the Vampire Counts "Collectors" range through GW. I think they are from around 4th/5th edition, as I'm sure that's when I first saw them. They could be earlier mind.

Yep, the first is a 5th edition dark elf general.

The mounted undead is indeed a mounted wight and featured in the 4th ed undead book and the two armoured skellies are from 5th iirc I think they arrived around the same time as the undead based campaign but it was a while ago.

The first is a Dark Elf General on Cold One, released October 1995 (4th edition)

The two skellies on foot are Armoured Skeletons with Spear 1 + 4, released September 1997 (5th edition)

The mounted skeleton is Skeleton Horseman with Sword, released June 1994 (4th edition)

I dug up a few more models that I would really appreciate some help with!

I think the Amazon is a Blood Bow figurine. The Witch Elf has 'marauder' written on it, which confuses me. The right elf seems to be a high elf bolt thrower crew member from a past edition, the left one has skulls on his gear so it's probably some dark elf, but I wouldn't know where it's from. The horse has me stumped. It used to have a rather thick layer of paint I stripped off, and then the glue let go too. It seems to be cast a lot rougher than the other models. It reminds me an awful lot of the older Ellyrian Reaver models, but as far as I remember those were plastic with a separate metal head and plastic tail. Is it possible it's a recast? The last oddity is the archer, called archer. It's a bit smaller than the other models, but it's made by GW.

Marauder was a sub-brand of citadel under which the initial WH models were produced.

Amazon is indeed a 3rd-edition BB amazon
The witch elf is a witch elf from the 1995 catalogue
The plastic is the old plastic dark elf warrior
Elf is indeed a bolt-thrower crewman from the 1994 catalogue
The horse looks a lot like a metal cast of the plastic Elf horse from the Ellyrian Reavers (1998 catalogue). They were two-piece (no seperate heads), so it's quite possible it's a DIY cast.
Archer is a High elf archer from the 1998 catalogue

Thank you! It's always really nice to find out where those models come from :) Thanks a lot too for mentioning the catalogues. I never had the idea to see if those were online (and they are!)

I need some help again. I picked up the following miniature a while ago and I have no idea where it's from. I tried looking it up but no luck so far. He's primed grey by me. He looks like something undead, but I'm not even sure it's Citadel.

That guy screams early Blood Bowl to me, but I'll be danged if I can find him. The bat symbol suggests Undead but very early Blood Bowl had only limited Undead models.

I just looked through the full catalogue of citadel and most non-citadel fantasy football models and couldn't find this guy.

I would guess that he is meant to be WoC or VC related if he is for a fantasy football game.

He might be some sort of non-citadel mounted model with a separate weapon that is supposed to go in his open hand.

Yeah, my guess would be a mounted model too. The open hand indicates weapon to me, so Blood Bowl is out.

Style is a bit 4th/5th edition, but it's a bit too smooth (not enough small detail) for Citadel of that era, so I'm tempted to think it's another brand.

Thanks for the help guys! BloodBowl is out then. I thought of that at first too but he's not a part of the vampire team (and not of another GW team either). The only thing that makes me unsure about if he's meant to be mounted is that he doesn't have any kind of stirrups near his legs. He reminds me a bit of this one, a chaos knight by Fenryll.

I wonder if he'll ever be solved :P
