Hi guys,

I am looking at getting an army painted by GMM studios...before I go ahead does anyone have any advice? Are there other studios I should be looking at? I have been told to stay away from BTP as they overcharge for average quality painting.

Thanks :)

I'd suggest asking for quotes for what you want painted, then comparing cost and quality and going with what fits you best.

But what kind of hobbyist doesn't enjoy hours and hours of assembly and poor painting? If I decided to spend my money to have others paint my models for me, I'd have fewer excuses to not be looking at internet porn.

lol I spend all my week working and then I just want to play games when I get the chance...painting models is not something I enjoy doing anymore. Spending 2-3K a year on having an army build and painted is totally worth it for me.

Getting quotes is something I always do however you can never be sure of quality and an indusrty like this customer reviews and player reccomendations go a long way.

I've commissioned quite a few miniatures over the years. I looked at the GMM site, and they don't list prices. If you PM me with the cost for the models you want painted I can do a run down of some of the other companies I've used and let you know if I think there's someone out there who can do similar or better work for cheaper.
