View Full Version : INFINITY : battle for the Human Sphere (YuJing, PanOc, Tohaas and many more...)

Hi everybody,

As I've started the Tale of Infinity Painter, I've decided to create this post to show you more of my Infinity minis.
After 2 decades playing only GW games, I've finally gave up all the games, except for a narrative campaign at WFHB.

For now, I'm playing mainly Infinity (and a few X-Wing, Dust and Ronin games), and for nearly 2 years now, I play YuJing.
But with the release of Operation : Icestorm, I've decided to start new factions : Tohaas, Military Orders, and maybe some Nomads.

So here is a little start with the minis painted for the ToIP :

Finished minis for september, a raiden and 2 little drones :

The WIP for the october : a Tohaa diplomat and a crusader brethren for my Hospitalier military order :

And my first minis for my military order : the crusader brethren and Father-Officer Gabriel de Fersen :

Hope you will enjoy the travel to the Human Sphere, and if you want to see more, just take a look at my blog !

I manage to find some time to finish painting my Tohaa diplomatic delegate.

So she's going downtown the old Terra for a little touristic excursion :

So, I'm on Holiday since 2 days, and I've managed to paint 2 more minis for the ToIP. I will finish the Crusader-Brethren in november, as I'll change the color of the gun for a dark green (same as the minis above)

So you have an Orc Troop with multirifle (40pts) and a fusilier with combi rifle (10pts), both from the Operation Icestorm box :

So it's enough for this month, as I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow !

Beautiful stuff as always Tancrede :)

The face on the Fusilier is fantastic: so much character in your painting of it. The ORC also just looks really nice. What have you used for bases on those two out of interest?

Thanks for comment.
I really like painting human faces, especially when they are well sculpted, just as the Infinity minis.

For the bases, I only use some plasticard and plastic rods. For the orc base, I used a brass etched icon from the GW urban basing kit and for the fusilier, it's the half of a GW flamer tank from the plastic IG range (the other half was used on the base of De Fersen).

Great painting. Youve captured the manga "style" yet given a more realistic feel. Really liking it. I love the simplistic yet brilliant idea for the base to give the facing direction. I may blatantly steal that if you wouldnt mind?

Thanks for comment.
No problem for the bases, if you like it you can of course use it. That's why internet and forums exist, no ? ^^

Gorgeous! My work is going to feel sad next to yours. There's something ... wrong ... with the way the Tohaa is looking at me! I don't know any Infinity fluff, but she makes me feel like she's trying to either lure me into a cooking pot or the back of that scary, windowless van in that very, very dark and lonely alleyway over there! Either way, I think it's going to end poorly for me.

I'm sure you're wrong...
The Tohaa are a peaceful and gentle race, and nothing bad will happen to you if you trust this nice diplomatic delegate...:D

 And there's candy too, isn't there?

Yeah, I think its time to go hide in the closet now. :shifty:

But beware, it may have a speculos killer inside...

Real love the work on those minis. The glowing lights on the Orc Trooper really adds a nice touch to that figure. The armor on the Crusader Brethren though, really catches my eye. Really nice job there! ;)

Sent from a Samsung Galaxy S4 far, far away...

Thanks for comment.

For today, it's something special, as it's not really a gaming mini, but a test mini for a painting challenge on a french forum.
The goal is to paint a mini using only black, white and 1 color. No more, no less.

So here is my CSU, painted using only black, ivory and orange, all from PA range :

As it's the first time I do something like this, all comments and criticism will be very welcome...

Interesting challenge, though to be pedantic, you used four colors. Black, white, her hair and skin.

Looks to me like the skin is actually blended from the ivory and orange. Fantastic work.

I can say I used only 3 colors, as all the colors on this mini are a mix of the orange, ivory and black...
We had the same debat on the french forum, and some agree with you, some agree with me. And the 2 points of view are equal to me...

Here is the mini I paint for this painting challenge (Don Quichotte, for the game Helldorado) :

For Infinity, I'm now back to work after a long hiatus due to lack of playing (I was waiting for the V3) and lots of painting for 40k and Battle (both for myself and commission work...)

So here are my latest minis, with some Nomads from the Icestorm box set.
I've decided to go with the official scheme, the only variation is that I use some bone color instead of the pure white.

As always a pleasure to paint...
And more pics on the blog !
