This is a list I made to play a few friendly games and get a grip of the rules again, as I've been away for a while.
It's not meant to be competitive but the games won't be fun if I get absolutely wrecked each time so I'd like some feedback on what is wrong with it.
Main problem is that the list relies very heavily on the models I want to field so I probably won't be changing much in that regard.

---Heroes---
Exalted Hero(110), BSB (25), MoT (10), Great Weapon (6), Armor of Destiny (50), Scaled Skin (20)
221

Chaos Sorcerer+level 2 (145), MoT (15), Disc of Tzeentch (30), Talisman of Preservation (45),
Third Eye of Tzeentch (10)
245

---Core---
15 Chaos warriors+MoT+Shields (255), Standard Bearer (10), Musician (10)
275

What bothers me is mostly the fact that I only have 4 units and I don't know what to expect from a game this size.
Back in the day I think I mostly played 2250pt games and I remember a lot more than 4 units on the battlefield so I wonder if my units are either going to get shot to pieces in 2 turns or get suckerpunched left and right wandering aimlessly around the battlefield and just dripping victory points (certain games against wood elves come to mind).
I wanted to field a couple of units of hounds (not exactly wanted as I hate the models and they won't go with my theme at all) but there is nothing I can drop from the list as it stands to make room for them. Are they absolutely essential in this edition (I'll admit I don't remember exactly how misdirecting and screening works, as I said, it's been a while).

1st issue is that you have too many points in hero. You're going to have to drop something and upgrade the sorcerer to at least a L3. Could drop the BSB and pick up something else instead, or maybe your buddy will let you go with it.

Chaos sorcerer can only be level 3.
And I thought that I could spend 50% on lords and heroes, guess I need to freshen up on the rules a bit.
EDIT: I just checked the rulebook and you're right.
This means I'll work on the 2000pt version instead so I'd like opinions on this one, I was thinking of fielding spawn, as terrible as they are they could provide some cover for my flanks or something.

Comes to 2008 so I'll cut from a command group somewhere.

I just realized I could make a chariot that I will enjoy looking at with that tzeentch daemons model, so I might take the entire world's suggestion and use a chariot, but for the time being I want to avoid the extra cost.
Sorry for the triple post.

That should be fun. Tell us how it plays for you. Also, it had skipped my mind, but if you're using End Times rules you can have more heros and your first list would be legal. I'd have another handy though, just in case your opponent plans to play straight 8th.
