Is there a place that collects who wrote which codex/army book? It's for... research.

The lexicanum is pretty good about having this sort of info: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Codex

I believe that GW stopped attributing authorship of books directly to individuals in mid 2013. I'm not sure why that is, either because the books started being produced in a different manner (which there's strong evidence for since we got no more Tau/Eldar strength books past that), or to avoid controversy regarding specific authors (which also would make sense).

You mean Gav Thorpe and Pete Haines, don't you?

I think Ward would also be a candidate. No one has garnered as much hate as him. The rules he led worked pretty good, reasonably balanced, but the fluff tended to be like the Juggernaught in a trainyard.

After seeing some of the books he wrote, I heartily agree with you.
