In the same style as the oldest... thread, what's the oddest figure in your collection?

1. Must be a gaming figure, not some weird tat you found in a tourist shop...
2. No conversions, that could be a whole 'nother thread...

I suppose we can include sightings of other people's figures, for the sake of completeness.

OK, to get the ball rolling:

Own:
Death Jester/Motley Maniac (http://www.solegends.com/citle/citle1990/misc/leMotleyManiac.htm) - unfortunately this one got lost, along with the blister pack it was still in. :cries:
Gyrinx (http://www.solegends.com/citrare/gyrinxjok.htm)
'Mini-me' Eldar Avatar (http://www.solegends.com/citcat911/c2093eldaravatrwarlks-m.htm) - and yes, that's a 25mm slottabase...
Somewhere, buried in a box, I have a post-apocalyptic London Banker with shredded clothes, gas mask, bowler hat and umbrella, I think it was a mid-Nineties Grenadier SF model. Must try and find it for a photo.

Seen:
Chaos Toilet (http://www.solegends.com/citle/citle1990/numbered/le17ChaosToilet.htm)
Xmas Marines (http://www.solegends.com/citle/citle1990/misc/leRTSpacedMarines.htm)
Chaos Spiky Death Halfling (http://www.solegends.com/citle/citle1990/numbered/le05PsychoHobbits.htm)

I know they're not too weird, but I always think that the Ork Rock Band (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99060103099&orignav=301117) are funky :D.

"Nay - we iz but Orks who ROCK!!" :p

Yeah, one of my old meks, I couldn't work out whether he was a mekboy or slaver for ages. Does that count? :p Then there's my Tinboys :), my Cockatrice, and a rather runty bionic ork. And the old Chaos Dwarf Renegade (http://www.solegends.com/citcat88/0309dwfboxes.jpg) (01 in pic), who is just tiny (even next to my other chaos dwarfs!).

So, nothing really odd. Old, yes, but odd? Not really =(

I have the goffic rock band (ork rock band) minis, and the 25mm avatar (who is now converted to be a chaos sorcerer in my chaos WFB list) i also have the marneus calgar on a throne mini (err what do you do with this dude on a throne. . .)

I can't think of anything else I find weird (though the fiends of slaanesh I have are a bit unusual.)

That Mini-Me avatar would make an awsome Autarch, methinks. :)

Strangest model I own...hmm...really don't have any. Unfortunatly. Oh! No, wait. I've got four really, really, really old plastic Necrons. Absolutely ancient things, holding a long weapon with a funny bayonette straight upright. They're on a slottabase, and come in one peice.

Well, I've got several Bloodbowl Snotling "ooligans, as well as the snotling using a bucket as a privy. Probably on SOL, I have no image, but many will know of which I am talking (he looks to be working quite hard at it).

Hmm... probably simply the hunchback fellow from Catacombs of Terror. Not very exciting, sorry!

I'm going with Ostrichman. Out of a weird lot (http://www.solegends.com/citc/c38chaosbeastmen.htm), probably the weirdest.

Isn't he using a helmet?

I don't really have any wierd mini's ... i used to have quite a few mini's from the RT days when there were no 'standard' weapon designs, the designer just made a cool looking one up and they retrofitted what type of gun it was later.

And when they just used to give marine scouts any weapon that looked cool. I used to have the scout with shuriken catapult, scout with lasgun etc.

Not weird so much as cute and funny, I've got the old fanatic jumping over his ball, hes got a nappy with a huge safety pin stuck through it.

(might be number 13, but maybe not.

My cousin had the old chaos centaurs and he had painted them all in neon colours with zebra stripes. They were interesting too.

Not the weirdest thing ever but any chance to mention squats is good for me...

I had, and loved, the one known as Galil Lankhepter....

I got Corbit Shortstuff (the jester from The Dwarf King's Court: http://www.solegends.com/citboxes/dwfkingsct/index.htm)

The wierdest I have ever seen though are from Eureka miniatures. Such as the Cuirassiers on penny farthings: http://eurekamin.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=87_126_153_165&products_id=1968 and the Hartleibepanzerhochrad: http://eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=87_126_153_155&sort=3a

I have an orcish flasher of nondescript manufacture. It's hideously cool in its naked freakishness :)

As for GW models, I'd have to say the Wood elf queen Ariel I have in a box somewhere qualifies.

Wouldn't the mini-Avatar be the Epic version ?

Anyway... I have... Slann with Las pistol... and Dwarf on the loo.....

They are Androids from Space Crusade/Starquest. Not really that old or rare to be honest.

I don't have any really strange miniatures (I've been looking for the Goffic Rokkerz on ebay for quite some time though) apart from a small Squat force (for 40k as well as for Epic) including a Squat in Exo Armour (I love that guy), Bike, Trike, .... all the fun stuff.

The only notable stuff I have is that Catachan Grenade launcher chick, but it's not really rare at all, a quite cool Slaanesh Champion (http://www.solegends.com/citcat912/c20265rcchslaanesh-h.htm) (great sword and razor edged tail), a Harlequin and a Plastic DE mage (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/Lexandro/WIP/DEmage.jpg) which I really like. She's not only a copy of the sorceress on the 5th edition army book cover but also features important Dark Elfy things: Wild hair and this sylized skull motive.

It may interest you to know these are available form the UK store. Check Forgotmytea's link on page 1.

:skull: Nope, that's the version from Rogue Trader days ;) The Epic one is even smaller; about the size of a 25mm figure IIRC.

ahhh, the 1st/2nd Ed fellow... Yeah, kinda odd how he grew-up.... On the bright side, you can hide him behind scenery that the newer fellow couldn't squeeze behind ;D

Hmm. Eureka certainly have some... err... interesting models.

Behold, the terror of the Meat Cleaver Clowns on comic unicycles! (http://eurekamin.com.au/popup_image.php?pID=1872) Eek!

I honestly don't know.

Probably my Scottish Clansmen, from GW. Some with Caber, some with Bottle, others with a shot putt.

http://*********************/ani/smiley_professor.gif Those are actually Chaos Androids from Space Crusade, but the inspiration for the original Necrons is obvious.

I saw a GT tourney army that had all-new models but the old-school tiny Avatar.

I'm sure he was doing it because he appreciates the vintage nature of those models, and not because it gave the model a line of sight advantage, right? http://*********************/ani/smiley_v.gif

You had to go and show that model, didn't you?
I just went straight off to the GW webstore, and is that one of the dozen-or-so classic Chaos warriors they have on sale? No. I remember really liking that model when I first started - didn't buy at the time as all my money went on my Ork army.

Guess I'll just have to start checking up on eBay now, got the bug to get me that model and paint it up real nice now.

:skull: Give the MO trolls a call. With a bit of luck they still have them, just not on the web. It's saved me from expensive eBay deals more than once.

I've got the old balloon-squiglet with the long legs and pointy nose .... I've got the other ones as well, but the balloon guy is just weird.
Squig 7: http://www.solegends.com/citcat911/c2070orkruntz-h.htm
The old Nid Squig (with the freaky taloned claw-arm on top of his cranium) is pretty weird as well, but he's also ***** so I'll just ignore him.

And I've got a trio of Hobgoblin Fire Rockets - the same models as the Nipponese version, but with the old (three-toed) Hobgoblins as crew. http://www.solegends.com/citc/c22niprocket.htm

The Citadel C-series 'Chaos Demon' (the sitting one who's scratching his head, not the one below him who looks like a grub) from the Elemental range is pretty odd as well - and a surpisingly good sculpt for its days. I'm using him as a Beast of Nurgle (he's quite big). http://www.solegends.com/citc/c34elemsdemonsc3.jpg

I believe my oddest figure is an old solid base chaos sorcerer, he has his hand over his head, just looks odd to me.

That and a ratehr large Samuri my grandad painted. He is very odd.

I used to have a couple of 'Dark Future' scale Santa Clause's with shotguns, seem to remember they were given away in GW stores one Christmas! Not sure where they're got to though!
