Hi Guys,

So is the thinking that all marines can move to the new base size so that would be Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Wolves and Grey Knights?

Thanks,

Ben

The closest thing to an official rule seems to be put the models on whatever base they fit on, so if you want to re-base all your Marines, go ahead. Or don't, if you don't want to.

I'm rebasing my DA marines on 32mm as I repaint them, personally I like them better on a larger base.

As far as an official line, no there is no hard word on that. I do expect that eventually we will start seeing the 32mm bases make there way into the other plastic marine kits at least.

Special weapon miniatures do a nice conversion kit. Its a collar that fits around the 25mm base to make it a 32mm base...I dobt have the link to hand becauseim at work but simple Google search will reveal it.

I rebased all my marines, but I am still not sure if I want to rebase my necrons. Seems like some are on new bases, and others are not.

I ended up using 25 mm bases for the Warriors, and 32 mm bases for the Immortals and other Elite infantry.

Sounds like a plan; I'm doing something similar with my Orks; 25mm for the Boyz, 32 for the Nobz. Might have to get some 50mm bases for the MANz when they become available too.

I'd also recommend 32mm for the Lootas, they're way too bulky for 25mm.

Apart from Scouts and Terminators, I'll base all of my "infantry" Blood Angels on 32mm bases.

My CSM and DA stay on 25mm bases though.

When I saw the 32mm base I was quite grumpy, so my Space Marines have found themselves on 30mm fancy bases. The only real hassle was getting 60mm fancy bases for the Dreadnaught.

Probably not an option for everyone, but since I only ever intend on playing with friends or family I went with it without concern.

Anyone who would give you grief over 2mm of base size probably isn't going to give you a fun game.

Since he could legally play with 25mm bases, there is no concern at all.

I did it the other way round. Warriors really do not fit in 25mm. They only just fit on 32mm.

My necrons are the only army with custom bases, and all +60 of my warriors are already based. I just don't want to rebase them all!

I am tempted to fit 32mm collars on some of my Eldar models. I have a lot of old metal Wraithguard as well as swooping hawks and warp spiders who just do not balance well on 25mm bases.
