A quick question.....

In Gorka and (I assume) Necromunda the recovery phase comes at the end of a players turn. In Mordheim, as I have recently notices, it comes at the start of a turn.... Which of these to you deem to be the quickest/smoothest way of dealing with downed fighters and morale ?

There isn't really a best way to do it since it depends on how that placement of the phase interacts with the rest of the rules. In this regard, Necromunda beats Mordeheim, for my money. There's more of a rhythm to its combat and an unpredictability to its recovery, which improves the believability. Mordheim isn't quite so successful in hiding its turn-based nature - its fourth wall isn't as solid.
