Pretty much what the title says. My friend and are a planing a 10,000 points per side game after the knew year and I was wondering what those with some experience in large battles would recommend for a table size.

Every Boxing day me and a buddy play anywhere from 7,500 to 10,000 points and the best way we have found is on a 10 foot table. using storm of magic rules for generating power and dispel dice. As for terrain we use 1d6+6-8 depending on how we feel.

I push two 6 by 4 tables together to make the table:

6 foot deep (3 tiles)
8 feet wide (4 tiles)

And use 1 complete tile (2 ft) as the deployment depth, keeping the 24" no mans land in the middle.

Also make the game objective based as opposed to pts for victory conditions

anything above 5k per side we start going 6' deep for much deeper deployment zones (which is about the practical max for depth), then star adding to the width depending on players

I think our clubs last big bash to end a narrative campaign was 5 x 2,500 per side, lasting 8 turns, with 12D6 PD (using 1st, 3rd, 5th etc best dice as dispel dice) which stood for both player turns, on a 12 foot wide table.

this year we will do 6x2k per side on the same 12 x 6' table

10000 is not a huge game yet, I'd propose just 2-3 feet wider table. 8 by 6 table is good, but a bit difficult to reach in the middle.
