That is one of the least cheesey Bret lists I have seen for an age!!! (including my own)

One thing that I would change is that the hippogriff is not good value (point for point), what I have done is swap the Hippo for a Royal Peggy and spend the differance on some peggy knights. Although they are seen as cheesey they are great!!! Warmachine hunting, mage killing and flank/rear charges.

BUT I can see why you would want to keep the Hippo, it is nice to have a big terror causing beastie.

I also prefer regiments of 9 knights to more 6's, more 'killy'.

Interesting list, tell us how it does.

Hmmm, is it so soft that it would uncompetitive?

I really like the hippo model so he's in. Probably not the most effective use of points but he's fun to use.

You have a good mix of everything in this list. I would love to play against it. Usually when I face Bretonnians I get totally massacred by a über-cheese list that looks EXACTLY the same every time. It stopped being funny about 25 games ago =/

Good luck with this list, it is by no means cheesy but is still competetive.

Really nice list - I always like to have plenty of peasants in my army too as they just add so much more character. What kind of Bret army would ever go to battle with a purely cavalry force? Any decent Duke should bring along a few commoners to run away and die - it makes the nobles look good.

Pegasus knights would be very, very useful - and if you only have one unit can in no way be deemed cheese. Only other comment would agree with Donga, put the knights in unit of 9 to make the most of their killing power, a lance of 6 wastes a knight - you've be better off just having a front of 6 in regular fomation. Though if you have a specific tactic that relies on multiple smaller units don't worry about it. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Thanks for all the replies. Have made a few changes, namely adding in some more knights and a unit of peg knights for some items and questing knights. The knight unit now has 9 with the bsb. Look ok?
