I don't play LOTR, but I'd be interested in recreating some of the stuff that happens in Unfinished tales and the (I'm going to spell it wrong) Silmarillion.
Does anyone know if such things are planned?

Unfortunately the future here does not look bright. It is a question of the license. Currently GW has to right to produce everything from the movies, the LotR books and the Hobbit. For all the other books they have no license. That may change, but is very unlikely. :(

Have fun,

Rolf.

That said some (if not most) of the things mentioned in the appendices are coming out and I wouldn't be surprised if some of these were in UT & Sim.

Hmmmm...
So there's a possibility of a Durin's Folk set?
I'll keep my eyes open.
I'd love to use the LOTR system to play out some of the Orc and Dwarf wars.
And models for Thorin and Dain would be kickass.
Cheers lads.

Dain has a model and rules in the Shadow In The East supplement and believe Thorin is listed in the Legions of Middle Earth book in one of the 2/3 dwarf themed lists.

Thank you.
I'll have a look into these, the books were quite vague on those wars and I always thought they were ripe for some great tunnel warfare scenarios.
(Another system to get into...sigh.) ;)
